I dont review, i hate reviewing. But this isn't for this store, this is for the company as a whole. DO NOT believe them when they say the FYE BACKSTAGE membership Is easy to cancel its not. I have been fighting their website fore MONTHS trying to even access my account with absolutely no luck. And as life would have it i got extremely busy and at the time a 12 bucks a month wasnt a big deal for me to notice, but with a change in financial stability it became imperitive to cancel the account ASAP. I tried to access my account again and failed at every turn no matter what i did so when i finally had a moment i called the number on the website. Which then directs you to call a DIFFERENT number to deal with memberships. So i groan because this is not quote "Super easy to cancel" after months of bs. I was just charged today and the charge hasnt even been fully processed to my account yet. So i call and get the account shut down. FINALLY after MONTHS and i ask, since 'Hey so i just got charged and since this account is being cancled effective today and i wont continue to get the benefits for the rest of the month since the month for me starts today, can i get a refund for this month alone?' I accept that the months previous are SOL since during those times had i decided to drive the hour to the nearest store to me, i could have access. But no. Apparently according to TOS i cannot get a refund for the one month i dont even get the benefits for that im being chaged for.
This store is fine. I haven had any issues besides being told it 'Super easy to cancel' when infact no. Its not. Its stupidly hard or it was in my case since when i still had the email months ago (i cant find it now) with my member number it refused to ever let me access my account. Their membership is not worth...
Read moreWent to this location and purchased a CD. At the checkout, the employee asked for my email address in case I needed to return the item. I had experienced this in the past, so I gave my email. Then the employee asked if I was military and said I could get a discount. I asked if veterans counted and he said yes, he just needed to see my ID. I gave my ID and he scanned it. Then he asked for my phone number, saying that next time purchased I could skip all these steps by using my phone number, so I gave my phone number.
After completing my purchase I was walking through the mall and noticed the employee put a brochure in my bag, which had a loyalty card and information about the "Backstage VIP" program. I never wanted to sign up for this. I also found a receipt, and on the receipt it said after a month I would be charged to be a part of this club.
I immediately went back to the store and asked for a manager. I spoke to an assistant manager, who said nothing more than "they've had problems with that employee" as if it made anything better.
I went home and cancelled the membership. The next day, I got an email confirming cancelation. I also got an email saying that my magazine subscription had been processed... Apparently, this program also came with a magazine subscription combo, set to automatically renew at the cost of $200.
I was able to cancel the magazine subscriptions, but this employee at this location acted so unethically, and basically tried to steal...
Read moreIt's definitely not what it used to be. It's a good store for other needy needs you can't exactly find at other similar stores, no doubt, but you would almost be better off going to said other stores. The prices are what you would expect from being in the mall even with some discounts going on. I still do like coming here though the reason for the 3 star review is due to the lackluster experience from what I remember FYE to be. There were no employees to greet me, no other customers shopping, some disgusting looking gummy and marshmallow candy on sale that should have been tossed out, the music to the store came from a phone hooked up to the speakers briefly upon entering then silent my whole browsing experience. To make matters far more awkward I was the one who initiated conversation to the only employee I had found hiding in the back while mentioning I had been looking for a specific product, only to receive little chit chat back but no help. He then presumed to talk to his coworkers about gossip and what not about another employee who supposedly was throwing up blood (I wish I was joking). Needless to say I walked out without a purchase; heck they were so unattentive someone could have easily walked out with merch...
