MotherPhone: Mom recording life through the camera phone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📱 So, this was a surprise! What’s great: We spent almost 4 hours here during a windy cloudy day we couldn’t go to the beach during our September school break. We thought we’d spend an hour and a half…little did we know the stuff in here was so entertaining to the kids and they could touch EVERYTHING! It was unlike other places (closed off or restricted due to Covid) in that it offered a clean reasonably priced indoor afternoon imagination exercise. It wasn’t a big museum, but it has 2 floors. The bottom floor was quite suited for 5 and under, and the upstairs was suited to 5 and up. I’ll admit, the grocery store and school room were our fav. My kids are 5 and 7. Both enjoyed BOTH floors. Need to know: -Everything was clean and people were awesome about putting their activities away after using them. It is your responsibility to put toys away. -The air circulation in this building is not great. It’s old, so the air conditioner upstairs especially doesn’t keep you cool. -There are NO chairs for adults to sit in. Exhausting, so we just sat on the floor with our backs against the wall. -No water fountain -Only one bathroom for girls and one for boys and both are downstairs. -Elevator is the only way to get upstairs or downstairs.

We got a discount because we had a different pass for another museum which meant we didn’t pay the adult price so that was good. The place is smaller than I thought it would be, clean and well put together but it was almost like a play place with not much in it. Very geared towards the super young kids, my 3 and 4 year old loved it but there wasn’t much there really. I was expecting more in it definitely. The gift shop doesn’t really have anything great (1 postcard and 1 magnet with some kid on it but not really anything to buy as a reminder that you went. Would have loved a magnet with the logo on. (I know I’m a geek 😂) It was just ok. Worth it with the discount but wouldn’t pay full price.

Our 2 year old grand loved the stations in this museum. A farmers market, a blocks room, a supermarket, etc. The museum is quite small and there is apparently no limit to how many can be inside at any time. It was very crowded when we arrived, but it was almost lunchtime and it thinned out a bit after a little while there. It was cute, but too many people! The day we went it was pouring rain. Parking is on the street and limited. We drove around several blocks several times before finally finding a spot a block away ( there are several museums in this downtown area)

This place has two floors of interactive imagination exhibit with lots to learn and lots to play with. I’m surprised at how clean they’re able to keep the facility despite it being a large playroom. The staff is obviously very on top of that. Not to mention on Sunday parking is free and a family of six was able to attend for $25. I don’t know if that was an extra special, but it seemed like an absolute steal for spending the day indoors and highly entertained. My kids favorite exhibits was the Publix, grocery store and the Lego room but there was so much more!

My family visited the Pensacola Children’s Museum on April 8, 2025. My kids had an absolute blast and did I honestly. They have a small Publix grocery store which we all were enjoying ourselves before having to visit the small doctors office and laboratory on the second floor. On the first floor you will have a small fort, trading post, and little cottage. Definitely a great place for kids to explore and it’s relatively cheap entertainment for the kids and even better the museum tickets are good for 7 days for all museums.
