McClendon’s Select is by far one of my favorite places to shop. I first found them a few years ago at the Uptown Farmers Market and now they’re part of my weekly ritual. Their fruits and vegetables are incredibly fresh, all organic, and just bursting with flavor.
Honestly, nothing compares. Even their herbs are stunning—like, I walk away with handfuls of basil, mint, and parsley that actually last and smell amazing.
But here’s the kicker: it’s not expensive! I routinely spend less than I would at a grocery store, and the quality isn’t even in the same league. The folks working the market are always so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. You can tell they care about the food and the people they serve.

Most of the items were small compared to what you would buy in a store except the lemons and Yukon potatoes which were larger. Celery and carrots were typical sized and everything else was small. Some items were not close to ripe like cherry tomatoes. They were having a “sale” on eggs - 7 bucks for one dozen which my husband bought to help their farm but I don’t see us doing this again.
