Always a fantastic evening!! Go you'll not regret it UPDATE: Last night went to see Hello Dolly! Let me be sure to make this very clear. Two reviews 1. Dining 2. Show Dining: A comedy. Actually. My food came because I asked for them not to put green onions on my meal came as literally just the pork schnitzel no gravy, no potatoes, no green beans. Just a fried piece of pork. I returned it and it came back with a tiny bit of sauce rice instead of potatoes but the green beans were delicious. I will say that we had to ask at least eight times to get a glass of tea which was finally brought by a manager. Without a cup and that was kind of funny. Then at the intermission we had ordered a hello Dolly bar and we also ordered the Huckleberry ice cream of which had been comped because of the debacle with our food. And the funny thing was they did not have the Huckleberry ice cream, so they just didn't bring it. So we got a comped dolly bar which was really dry and kind of not that great. I will say that the manager was very professional and did everything in my opinion that she could have done except for follow up at the end to find out we had no Huckleberry ice cream. I felt bad for the server as I'm pretty sure she was slammed and it's embarrassing to have to tell the customer that their food is not available. But by the end she was pretty much done helping us at all. We got the check twice which I thought was funny, but also I can understand how that happened. Let's just say that our dining experience was not that great by the time my plate was replaced correctly. Oh wait, it never came correctly because they ran out of potatoes so I had pork schnitzel with rice which is not how it's supposed to be eaten . My food was cold, I did ask the manager to bring additional sauce because there was so little on the plate and what she brought was lukewarm at best. I had hoped that that would make it so I could eat my food and have it be a little hot but it was not so I decided not to eat. Even though we paid for the meal. Long story short, it was a comedy of errors. That left me a little hungry but I was looking forward to the dolly bars that did very much disappoint. They were not good. I did find it odd that nobody followed up after we ate to find out if everything was okay but that's how I do business. Not how everybody does it.
The show. The reason we went to the Arizona Broadway theater is because of the theater. And this show did not let me repeat, did not disappoint. The music was fantastic. The performers were outstanding. It was clear to understand. The costumes were amazing. The sets were phenomenal. It was a wonderful show. Completely made up for the debacle that we had during our dining experience. Kudos to the performers. You really did a fantastic job. I was really impressed with the music as well. I know the orchestra pit doesn't get enough props but man you guys were rocking it. It was wonderful. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen but the show certainly carried...

Finally spoke to a kitchen manager and they quickly brought our meals out to us.
Unfortunately sounds like this will be a recurring issue due to the owner of ABT making a change in the dinner process. Entree orders will not be placed until appetizers are served to your table.
So I’m events where the kitchen is behind/kitchen emergencies or in our case where a kids mac n cheese meal was mistakenly placed as a mac n cheese appetizer, you will have severe issues.
Unfortunately, we weren’t the only table with issues tonight that requested speaking with a manager. Bad decision change on the owner’s part.
The shows themselves are fantastic and I highly recommend seeing shows here-but I will not waste my money anymore on the dinner portion of the theatre experience. I am beyond disappointed to write a negative review of ABT. I’ve been attending shows here since I was a child and always had such great times and memories.
Unfortunately the last couple years I’ve noticed a negative decline in the quality of service.
The service for the dinner before the show has just been atrocious. I purchased the more expensive dinner and show tickets for Wizard of Oz and am stunned at the lack of hospitality. For about an hour my table waited for drinks and when the waitress acknowledged my child was out of water she failed over five times to bring a refill of water.
My table asked for a manager over 3 times and we were not met with a manager for over 30 minutes now.
As I’m writing this review, still no entree with 30 minutes before the show starts and this was a 2 hour window for dinner.
The table behind us arrived 30 minutes later and received all their food and drinks while we are still waiting on our food and drinks an hour and a half into the service.
I will no longer pay for a dinner and show here. This service is the worst service I have ever experienced and will no longer recommend the dinner and shows here.
Completely unprofessional service that not even one manager can come and speak to our table within 45...
Read moreWe have been here three times so far, the first for "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas", and the others for "Rock of Ages"; we liked it so much the first time we brought my Mother-in-Law to see it. I am very impressed with the quality of the stage, props, costumes and cast. Everything is top notch, and there is no lack of talent.
Personally we have never had dinner here however we have had dessert and appetizers. The appetizers have always been tasty, but fair warning the portions are what I would consider small so order accordingly. The Chocolate Mousse was really good, the lemon cookies we had last time were also great; the others we have tried were good but not "great". That said we've never been disappointed. Just so you know, the serve dessert during the intermission and there is no wait service during the show. We ask for a water pitcher for the table. :-)
Honestly though food aside the performances and staff service are great, and it is well worth you time to see a show here. The chairs are not uncomfortable at all, which is a little surprising given you are sitting in restaurant style chairs.
There is really only one thing that keeps me from giving this venue 5 stars. I've seen other reviewers state that there is not a bad seat in the house. I actually disagree with that. All of the two top tables are NOT against a railing, so you end up sitting behind another table at the same level. On our 2nd trip, our view was actually pretty blocked by the 4 people at the table across from us. If you are buying more that two tickets, you get placed a 4 or 6 seat table, so you will be fine, but I feel it is only fair to warn couples of the possibility. In our case, they weren't full so we able to move once the show started to an empty table across from us close to the wall so we could see the stage unencumbered.
All in all, this is a great place and we are thinking about season tickets next year (as long as we won't get stuck at a two top!).
