I think the manager Jennifer needs to stop being so judgemental and a little more professional I was there not even 5 minutes to to find a gift for my son and she was following me around the store like she was my shadow. I don't know if it's because I'm Hispanic and have tattoos or what she could at least do her surveillance from a distance and not let the customer feel so uncomfortable while they are doing their shopping she can watch from a distance she didn't have to be on my back. And then it was so funny they announced on the intercom security scan all aisles and then 5 minutes later Peoria PD is on their way like that was supposed to scare me or something I was. Not doing anything wrong so I walked out of the store like 3 times just to play with them Well if they caught me taking anything why didn't they stop me I was hoping they would so I could sue their asses well I know in California you can not really sure what you can do here in Arizona if they accuse you for taking something and they don't find anything on you big lawsuit. So it's decided to have a little fun with them I was messing with them after that and then when I finally went to go stand in line to pay for my stuff I see her and 3 other guys all whispering and looking over at me and I waved hi to them. See I didn't think nothing of it but whenever I kept turning around and saw her right behind me looking at me I was like what the heck is she following me or what and then I hear security scan all cameras and then I hear about the police department on their way then I said oh no they think I'm shoplifting that's crazy like I said she needs to be a little more professional and that loss prevention do their job because she sucks I ended up not buying the stuff that I wanted to purchase I just said no thank you I don't want to shop here anymore and I made sure I got her name and said how uncomfortable it was trying to shop I was so upset I didn't get my son anything that night for his birthday it was getting late and he was waiting for me I should of bought his present and just say forget the whole situation but it's the point of the matter that she they shouldn't be doing this to their customers I have never been arrested or have I ever stolen from a store well maybe a pack of gum when I was 10 that my mom made me go back and pay for it but really I'm going to go back again and have fun with her again it's going to be more of us this time bald head tattooed Mexicans scattered all over the store she's going to go nuts Maybe...
Read moreWould have been 5 stars like they usually always are! So technically I want to add 5 * this time was great until checkout time. I don't have much free time so when I do get to I make sure to get EVERYTHING I need! It was closing time but I was still getting help from another lady in sewing. As I walked up with my cart I was removing my items and trying to nicely put them at the stand being very organized so she could work faster and not feel stressed. Well the happy shopping feeling inside me left very fast. The lady at checkout rolled her eyes when she realized I chose her line. She never spoke and instead she continued to grab my items and take huge inhales on each item. The inhales you take when your very upset at something. She was so angry that I bought so much. Now, I have 3 holidays to make stuff for, I'm decorating a room and I will be doing a craft show in 2 weeks. I'm sorry but I needed everything I bought! For spending almost $600.00 I would have appreciated a better attitude. Thank goodness for the 2 other very nice ladies that noticed it and came over to help anyway they could. This very nice young man helped walk my stuff out to my truck and even apologized for her attitude. In ending everything about this store is 5 stars besides the lady that scanned my items. I still highly recommend Hobby Lobby and have never made it through the entire store in 1 visit. They have everything you would ever need and more. I've always loved the customer service. Not so much this visit. I'll always go back again! I'll just...
Read moreI was a bit displeased to find they don't do the, constantly 50% off scrapbook papers, anymore; Hobby Lobby used to be my go-to, for loose papers (& JoAnn's for books of papers), now I'll just do JoAnn's for books & loose.
They were running a sale on stickers, but ....... Idk. I do love their unique brands/colors of yarn, though, so mom & I bought some - just like, 3 skeins cause, the yarn is quite pricey & never really on sale, + no coupons. I'd say check out the interesting brands & dye lots here, but go to JoAnn's if you're needing lots of yarn, cause the prices, sales, & coupons are way better; you can use HL yarn as a bright accent, lol or something.
So this store of course is very christian, so there's lots of crosses & jesus stuff around. It's not open on Sunday, which is certainly annoying, so but JoAnn's is just up the road/parking lot. HL is like 75th/78th Ave & JoAnn's is closer to 83rd Ave, but on the same side of the road. Hobby Lobby is nicely located in the same lot as Sweet Tomatoes, Ulta, & Barnes & Noble, among other shops/eateries. The store is clean & the displays are neat & pretty, but they had christmas music playing, on Halloween, so that's a no-go for myself, hahaha.
The cashier's & staff were nice, but didn't greet us as we entered, even though they were looking at us. HL is different than say, Michaels or JoAnn Stores, in their stock, but also carry similar items, too, so I'd recommend to check them out, & see what you like, in comparison to what's available at the other big...
