It is a nice small store for spices and Indian foods. They also have some Arabic foods too. Limited fresh veg though. It is the best one in the area and even has a small parking lot. Only wish the store is bigger
Edit: the woman who works here is very rude. Treated me as if I am an employee by telling me to put the items back I did not want to purchase. She said it several times and emphasised “in the right place” as if I’m her employee. The EBT machine was not working she said but I did not see the small sign on the door that’s why I couldn’t purchase all the stuff I had in my cart. She also said several times I could pay another way. Well, I want to use my EBT and I don’t need to be treated like a second class citizen. Me using EBT pays them the same as cash, so she should drop her attitude. I’m certain most people who shop here use EBT so she should be thanking us for keeping them in business. I won’t be back here again! Would rather give my business to shop owners who are polite and not judgemental. A shame too because I spent quite a bit of money here over the years and to be treated like trash...
Read moreI’ve been visiting this market since 2011. They have great, hot, ready to eat samosas and a wonderful selection of goods. However, my most recent trip there was frustrating.
I live across the city about 25-30 minutes away and needed something from the store before they closed at 8pm, so I hustled there. When I arrived at 7:51pm they were closing the gates and my presence appeared to be an inconvenience. They didn’t make a fuss but it’s frustrating that if I arrived 30 seconds later, they would’ve been closed.
If your business is scheduled to close at 8pm, that is the time you should take your last customer, that’s not the time you should go home. If you want to go home by 8pm, please change your business hours and close between 7:30pm-7:45pm so you have the time to clean up shop.
Businesses closing their doors and not accepting customers before their listed costing time is simply bad business. It’s dishonest and frustrating...
Read moreVery pricy. They take advantage of being in the university city area. They have no date labels on the meat. The owner has no real answer why the meat is not date labeled as its common practice in US. They charge for polythene bags. Everything costs a dollar or more. The veggies price are high, dont recommend for vegetables. This is a store from basically a pakistani owner but he acts like being Indian and puts indian puja music to attract/misguide people. Best ind store is in patel brothers which is ofcourse 20 min drive but they are hell of a store of all varieties than this store which has n number of terms and conditions pasted before you enter the store. No credit card use less than $10. I’ll recommend only their samosa and ready to eat cooked dishes. My friend told me they might even give you 8 samosas if you order 10, so do not forget to count yourself. 😂😉. once I found fungus in the...
