Heritage Church — Attraction in Phoenix

Heritage Church is truly home! I think this would be true for anyone in any season of life - there is a thriving kids and youth ministry, multiple small groups and Bible studies, and continual opportunities to reach out individually for prayer and help in your journey with Jesus - whether it’s your first day ever in church or you’ve been a lifelong believer. I recently moved back and was so excited to continue going to Heritage - I’ve known the main pastor for over 15y and he is someone I’ve seen continually exemplify integrity, faith, love, and the true meaning of character and being a shepherd of a church. The rest of the staff follows and has helped to create a ministry that is constantly pouring both in and out - committed to Godly discipleship/teaching while also serving the community in both physical and spiritual needs. The teaching is biblically super solid and I’m always challenged and learning something new. The music is also amazing and so thoughtfully prepared. Absolutely love this community. They have so quickly become family and are exploding with the love of Jesus and led by the Holy Spirit. There are so many ways to connect from teens, young adults, young families, older families, retirement age, there is space and room for all. I have appreciated how well people do normal life together. Several older ladies cooked dinner for moms of young kids and offered their wisdom and support, small groups meet regularly to study or just support and bear each others burdens. There are classes for adults and kids, fun events like church lunches or holiday get togethers, chili cook offs, and sandal Sundays. All this to provide opportunities to connect on a deeper level. Leadership has an open and transparent heart. They approach divisive subjects with humility and gentleness. The worship is always intentional, thoughtful, and the best praise to God. The Bible teaching is deep and I have grown more in the last 2 years than in the previous 20. Heritage is a big reason my family may stay in Arizona long term. I am so grateful to have been a part of the Hertiage community for over 9 years now; a community that has become family and a major support system for me, my husband, and our young growing family! My husband and I have seen the church grow in numerous ways over the years and greatly appreciate how Heritage remains committed to the local communities nearby as well as globally through missions and outreach. The culture and environment is warm, welcoming, and inviting; we are a people who love Jesus and want to love like Him! This core value is seen and experienced in every aspect from service, worship, and the separate ministries (kid's, women's, and men's) within the church.
