Queen's Nails on E Cactus Rd — Attraction in Phoenix

Worse experience. I asked to remove my old acrylics because I just wanted my natural nails again. I asked if she could please leave them long since I had been trying to grow them out. I asked if they could put acrylic over my natural nail so they wouldn’t break. She then proceeds to start filing them down. She asks me why don’t I just want a fill and I proceeded to explain to her again what I wanted. She then starts ripping my old acrylic nails off and of course, it was ripping my natural nail as well! I told her to stop and asked why she wasn’t soaking my old acrylics to preserve my natural nail. She then looks at me like I have 4 eyes and tells me that she can just make me new nails to match the ripped ones. I told her that wasn’t what I wanted and to just forget it and do a fill on the rest of the nails since she already ruined 4 of my natural nails. At this point I’m very upset. She then starts painting my nails and does an absolutely horrible job! They look so messy and unfinished! When I went to go pay, she charged me $40 for whatever the heck she did. I shouldn’t have paid! They looks horrible and so not presentable....

I am so sad….I have been going here two years and after the pandemic this place became slowly very unfriendly and cold. I was treated so poorly by their tech Cindy and the owner just looked at me and said sorry there is nothing I can do for you as I walked out and asked if this was acceptable after I had been a customer of theirs for 2 years. Cindy acts like a miserable person who hates being there. She gets insulated if you ask questions or try to make conversation. If you are running behind ever for an appt she will treat you disrespectfully when you walk in but not talking to you or even say hello. This is despite calling and saying “I’m running behind”. For a place that is not very clean you think they would make up for it with customer service but this hasn’t been the case over the last several months. Very sad as it used to the be the case. They literally ran me off today as Cindy was yelling at me as I said I would leave.

I usually don't write reviews, but felt I needed to after my experience here. I walked into this salon for the first time 2 weeks ago and grabbed the brochure that was on the reception desk. The prices in the brochure are less than the laminated card they gave me to look over when I sat in the chair. I brought that to their attention and they seemed annoyed. I received the quickest non-gel pedicure and non-gel manicure I've ever received. I don't ever get gel manicures, so typically my regular manicures last for about a week, sometimes longer if I'm careful. This manicure lasted for 2 days. What's even more bothersome is that ALL of my nails immediately got soft and bendable, broke (or tore) down to the skin and are painful. Two weeks later, I am still dealing with that. I have NEVER had that happen in all my years of getting manicures. Can't help but wonder what product they used on my fingernails and if it was because I called them out on the price differences...Needless to say, I will...
