I'm starting this by saying that the customer service was fantastic and has nothing to do with why we won't stay at one again and I'm a customer service critic. Don't be in a customer service position if you don't want to provide a great experience for your customer!||||The main reason we won't stay at one again is because the king bed was way too hard for our liking. We both live with conditions that causes severe pain so we need softer beds. These definitely are not that. This bed caused my hips to start hurting within 30mins of laying on my side. I actually slept on the hideaway bed bc it was softer which btw was the best one I've ever slept on! No ridiculous bar in your back all not and it was long enough. I'm 6' and my feet didn't touch the end. I still had a couple more inches left. I could have had another 6" if needed by removing the pillows at the head of the bed so kudos for that! More hotels need to follow suit if they haven't already!||||2nd reason is bc of the room setup. It is all wrong and doesn't accommodate to people with disabilities and people with neck problems in particular. My husband has Ankylosis Spondylitis, a condition that fuses your vertebrae together so having to constantly look to the right when you want to lay in bed creates a lot of pain and actually caused my husband to get a migraine. The TV should be placed across from the bed, parallel walls not perpendicular. ||||3rd reason is bc the of noise. You could hear everything from the halls and up above us. Whomever it was decided they needed to get their steps in.. 7 stomping paces one way, turnaround, 7 stomping paces back over and over and over, for 3 solid hours actually. That's when we decided to call the front desk who called the customer to tell them to stop. Sadly they had to do it twice. ||||The location is fantastic tho! Any kind of crave you have can be satisfied which is wonderful when you can't make up your mind or have the munchies! We landed on burgers from Longhorn Steakhouse and dessert from Cheesecake Factory. ||||All in all, it was fine for an overnight stay for us. If we weren't all medically messed up, I'm sure the beds would have been fine. I've actually slept on harder. I'm also sure that the room would be acceptable for someone who isn't noise sensitive and doesn't suffer...

We have never stayed at a Sonesta Select brand hotel before but when planning this trip, bring near Spring Break timing, hotel prices were astronomical with the exception of this location. Their pricing was more reasonable and typical of a stay (avg $192) versus others at $300-$400/night. We stayed Tuesday-Thursday, arriving in the early evening Tuesday. As soon as we walked in we noticed a fragrance… not sure if it is an air freshener or what, and although it wasn’t terrible, it was definitely not pleasing to me anyhow. It lingered throughout the entry, lobby and as far as the elevator bank, and I was grateful it didn’t reach the third floor where we were staying. We had requested a courtyard/pool view room and that is what we had, although the view from our balcony was a tree. The balcony is small but it’s nice to have that space in the open air and we sat out there to enjoy coffee in the morning and to read in the afternoon when we weren’t out. ||The room had a king bed, comfortable and we slept well. The shower was nice (pressure & temperature) and the towels were very, very plush and soft. The sink counter area has some space for toiletries (enough for our basics - toothpaste, brush, deodorant, toothbrush…). There is a nice closet space but minimal drawer storage underneath the desk area. ||There is a small cafe in the lobby which we did not visit, but options seemed very limited for breakfast, so we went next door to Bisbee Breakfast Club (recommend!) the lobby area is spacious with lots of seating areas and was nice (except for that smell). ||The pool area and courtyard was nice although the cushions could use some TLC. There are a few seating areas and covered areas for groups to gather and visit and the pool is fenced off on one side. ||Overall fair pricing, staff was good, rooms were good, an average good...

They are now charging for parking! Do they think they're a Vegas resort now? What's next a resort fee?? We have stayed here lots and were pretty satisfied but THIS time?? The room was absolutely filthy! The glass tops of the night stands were dirty (see pictures). The carpet had large dark stains! (See pics). The sliding door to the patio didn't lock so we couldn't go to the pool that way. So what is the point of having a pool access room? Our door didn't even have a screen so we could leave it open. There was only one patio door that we saw that actually had a scree on it. Then the first night I went to take a shower, I opened up a bath towel and it had a huge black stain on it. Most of the face cloths and hand towels were grey and had stains. The bathroom floor was filthy wasnt mopped or washed at all.. The pool deck was filthy...needed washing down. There was a long black hair in the sink (not ours...I have white hair and my husband has no hair). Bathroom had a sewer odor the entire time. We had to leave the fan going all night. The sink faucet was dripping and we couldn't get it to stop. We were really disappointed in the room and service this stay. The gal at the front desk, Anna? Was so loud and was on the defensive at check in. She kept repeating that my husband "hated her" and she "couldn't do anything right". She wouldn't stop talking long enough to let us explain to her what he meant. Terrible experience! We come to Chandler once a month for doctor appointments, tests and procedures, but I doubt we will be back to Sonesta Select after this stay.

This is a very nice hotel, previously a Courtyard Marriott, which used to offer a small buffet breakfast. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, a huge plus. But we did have a couple small issùes hence the 4 stars. Some confusion re payment at check in (we booked through a 3rd party and they said it was paid, but it wasn't). The convenience mart is nice, but very pricey, $4 macn'cheese, $10 frozen spaghetti and meatballs. lol. We had some neighbors smoking pot near our room, so much that it smelled in our room. these are non smoking rooms. probably the same neighbors were very loud, playing music till 11pm. There's a mini fridge in the room, no freezer, no microwave in the room, only in the convenience mart. They did offer Starbucks coffee for the breakfast, which you pay for. But they ate accommodating to my allergies. I was able to get some deli turkey and oatmeal, yummy! Pastries and bagels for $5, breakfast sandwiches for $7. The woman working this area was beyond friendly, engaging and funny!! Another plus. Beds are comfy, they have a heated pool and hot tub. Fitness center. Plugs and USB port spots by the bed andTV. Very clean rooms! The Shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower was a nice edition! Great black out drapes! Lots of mirrors, an ironing board with iron as well as a hair dryer. We have some suggestions. They need a list of restaurants and which are within walking distance. More working ice machines. Trash cans in the rooms are very small and have 2 small cans in one big one, not sure why.

Wednesday February 12 2025 0806 am Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Hotel Cleanliness and Service To Sonesta Hotels Guest Experience I recently stayed at [SONESTA SELECT PHOENIX CHANDLER ] located at 920 N 54th St, Chandler, AZ 85226 from [Check-in Date: THURSDAY FEBRUARY 6 2025] to [Check-out Date: SUNDAY FEBRUARY 9 2025 ], and I am extremely disappointed with the level of cleanliness and service I experienced during my stay. Despite requesting housekeeping services multiple times at the front desk, my room was never cleaned. Over the course of my stay, I made three separate requests, yet my bedsheets were never changed, my bathroom remained unclean, and the shower was visibly filthy from the moment I checked in. This lack of attention to basic cleanliness and customer requests is unacceptable and does not reflect the standards I expected from Sonesta. I am deeply dissatisfied with my experience and believe that Sonesta has failed to provide the level of service that guests deserve. As a result, I feel compelled to share my experience with others to ensure they are aware of these issues before booking with your hotel chain. I expect a response addressing this matter, as well as an appropriate resolution, whether in the form of a refund or another form of compensation. Please let me know how you plan to address this issue. Sincerely, Jimmy [Sonesta Reservation: 32877SE058230]
