A lovely park, but unfortunately occupied by people with aggressive dogs. We came to this park half a year ago and we had a wonderful time with friendly owners and dogs. So yesterday evening (08/21) we decided to come again, but this time we met people who obviously knew each other with dogs who clearly thought that the park was their back yard. My dog, who is very friendly and playful, stood to the side and gently tried to sniff the others, then out of nowhere she was attacked by a dog named Rosie and all the dogs joined in the attack and started biting my dog. It was terrifying and I thank God that the worst did not happen. Their owners obviously knew their dogs were aggressive and territorial, but they didn't warn us, they said they were friendly. The most arrogant thing was that none of the owners even apologized or asked if we were okay. I will describe them from what I saw and heard the names of the dogs. There was a black woman who was the owner of the most aggressive dog there, a young white and brown color pittie called Rosie. A tall white middle-aged man with a mustache was the owner of a boxer, named Rose, and another white woman with a brown male pittie are the owners of bullies and aggressive dogs. The owners not only apologized for my dog's aggressive attack, but yelled at me to get out and not take pictures of the park and their aggressive dogs. Apparently they think of themselves as masters of the neighborhood and the park. Stay away if you see these people with their dogs there. They are rude and allow their dogs to...
Read moreIt's a nice dog park tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. People seemed friendly and respectful. There is nice shaded areas, pick up bags (which were actually being used--thank you fellow dog owners!) and both the small and large areas have water stations for your furry friends (not for your friends who are "furries", though--just talking about dogs here).
It doesn't seem like it's in the nicest part of town but don't let that deter you. The public park across the street has excellent activity equipment and a little walking path if you want to take a stroll outside the dog areas on leash.
All around nice little dog park and...
Read moreIt wasn't too bad. Some trees for shade, water fountains for the dogs, and a hose to clean dog after if needed. Like a big backyard. Maintained well. But bring a ball of play with your pet, or they will be bored. We forgot our ball, so we only stayed about 10 minutes.. dogs started to dig, which meant boredom and hot. It's not the type for you to sit on your phone ... you interact with your dog or what's the...
