Simply Chic Plainfield — Attraction in Plainfield

Have been extremely disappointed in the shop for about a year now. It’s very overwhelming when you go in. It’s so packed. They have a lot of things in the store that I would consider more garage sale type items/Goodwill items. Over the past five years or so I have regularly taken stuff into Cell and I’ve always had pretty good luck until about the last year. I took a few things in today and was disappointed enough that I decided to post a review. I had some active wear and a couple pair of sandals and I had three tops. One was a Liz Cleburne with a price tag of $44 still attached and an LL Bean T-shirt with the price tag of 2499 still attached for those two items and one of their shirt I was offered eight dollars. Just wanted to share my experience at Simply Chic today. What an amazing team! Simply Chic should be so proud of their honest, hard-working employees. While taking 3 totes of clothes & wallets today, I inadvertently left cash in one of the wallets. When I arrived at the store for pick-up, Michelle handed me the money she found inside. Every single dollar, the entire amount! Then, after arriving home, Michelle found a personal message notecard and gift card also tucked inside the same wallet and personally called me to let me know! The honesty and professionalism Michelle exhibited today is beyond belief. What a wonderful, honest person Michelle is. Simply Chic should be honored and proud to have Michelle on their team. Very disappointed with my visit. They are way too picky about what they will buy. I had two sheath dresses that had never been worn... still had the pricetags. They said they were outdated. They are only two years old. I had a pair of high heels that had only been worn one time. They said they were too worn. I could only find one scratch on the heel. Give me a break...this is a resale store. Every pair of shoes they had for sale were much more worn. I would understand their pickiness if they had really good quality of clothing for sale. I found their selection very poor. Same things you could get at Goodwill. My visit was a total waste of time. I will...
