My 11-year-old Granddaughter and her friend made some money having a lemonade stand and wanted Chck-fil-A. So we elected to take her and her friend to get some. Well we had already eaten so we let her order through the back window with us over seeing. She ordered two 15 pc. Tenders for her and her friend. Which came to a total 15.15 $ she was told by girl taking orders that she didn't take cash and someone else take the payment. And for some reason granddaughter handed the young man taking payment a 20.00 and told him to keep the change and give her the bills. Well at the same time my daughter called and wanted a chicken sandwich. So after granddaughters transaction i ordered a chicken sandwich paying cash as well. finishing our orders we drove around to pick up. As soon as we get around to pk up window they bring out my chicken sandwich wow that was fast so were setting there like 5 minutes and the server comes back to the car and asks what are you waiting for. In which we explain our granddaughter had an order as well from the back seat. And was told was. She goes back inside 5 minutes later coming back out with half of her order. And was told by granddaughter this wasn't right. At that time she ask granddaughter if she had a receipt for purchase at that time my granddaughter showed her the $4 and explained to her that she had told her to keep the change from a 20. So she tells us to pull away from pk window a few car lengths and she goes back inside. Another 5 or so minutes go by here comes another lady and granddaughter has to explain everything again to her that's when I intervene and tell the lady I'm sitting in the passenger seat and seen everything that expired I also ordered a chicken sandwich and I paid cash I didn't get a receipt as well so the lady goes back inside. 5 or so minutes later here comes second half of granddaughters order. With out her dipping sauces order so again waiting for them to come out. I generally eat Chick-fil-A at least a few times a week. I have frequented the Plainfield location for a long while. I have experienced issues with many orders. I normally chalk it up to the busyness and chaos of the drive thru. I’ve only called back out of frustration a few times. Today I had a mobile order delivered and called over an issue of not getting what I ordered. I spoke with Rachel first and she passed me to Lisa who are both supposed to be directors as they called themselves. Both were extremely and equally rude and combative in correcting the situation. At the end of the conversation because of their unprofessionalism I opted to return the food and get my money back simply because of the way I was treated but Lisa said she would not refund the order because she didn’t have to and to not bother to bring the food back even though I had not eaten anything. The worse part about this location is that they are a franchisee so it’s kind of hard to contact anyone which I found out when I called the main corporate number today for Chick-fil-A. After eating there regularly for over a year I will not be back to this location! The principal for me is giving my hard earned money to an establishment after someone a manager no less feels it is acceptable to disrespect a customer after an issue created on theirs not my behalf. Shame on both people for their behavior today and on Christmas Eve at that yet Chic-fil-a prides itself on promoting Christian values but that definitely was NOT the case today! Went here to meet with my parents from Illinois and my daughter picked this out because she loves the food and they have a play area for kids which most places, sadly, do not have anymore. The food here was served quickly and fresh. Got the standard chicken sandwhich which tasted good and had the waffle fries which were served fresh and tasted great with the sauce. My daughter got the chicken nuggets which were fresh as well and tasted good. And in her kids meal they had a paper o how to learn sign language which was really cool that not a lot of other places offer. It is usually some plastic toy you just throw away later. The staff was very friendly and when we were seated after a while came over to check on us to see if we needed anything. Like I mentioned, they had a play area that my daughter played in after we were done eating to get all of that energy out from sitting in the car for so long.
