We had a birthday party here and the whole thing seemed disorganized. Upon entry, there was nowhere to set the gifts and belongings. That ended up being fine, we managed. The kids had fun playing the first hour. The second hour was the party room and the 2 "activities" that were included with the party were very underwhelming. The hostesses didn't gather all the kids before starting the "activities" which included a freeze dance and baby shark song. Most of the kids were sitting down and had no idea what was going on. It wasn't exciting and didn't add any fun when all the kids didn't even know what to do. The cheese pizza that came with the kids meal was dry and cold. They forgot the extra pizzas we ordered for the adults. They didn't help pass out cupcakes to the guests. No help gathering the presents after the party to bring to our car. After paying $500 I expect to leave a birthday party venue after having a great time and the whole thing was disorganized and very underwhelming. I thought the party hostess would have been more involved. I would NOT recommend this place for a birthday party. The first hour was fine because the kids got to play, the second hour I expected it to be fun too and it was somewhat awkward. I think you roll the dice depending on who you get as the party host because I've seen parties here before and it seemed like they were having a good time. I am just glad I didn't spend more on any upgrades. I asked the "party host" if they could add Bluey rings on all the cupcakes. They weren't wearing gloves and had super long nails that were digging into the frosting of the cupcakes. They were wearing slippers and just seemed to not really care. I'm glad the kids had fun but the adults sure took note on how the party was ran for their kids. I think the adults would all agree that the kids had fun but $500 was way too much for the "party room experience". We were thankful for our friends and family who came but I can't get passed what you pay vs what you get. Lesson learned...
Read moreUpdate: I feel it’s necessary to update my review as the staff and manager addressed these issues with me directly and professionally/kindly. I think they took these issues to heart and will address them. I appreciate their efforts to make it right.
We usually go to the Cheeky Monkeys in Fairview. I wanted to change it up a bit so I brought them here. Several issues. The staff seemed bored and just not overly friendly. There was a sign up saying there would be a daily activity at 11:15. Around 11:10, the staff turned on a loud speaker to play music. It started off great with Disney songs like Frozen. But then the song “Beautiful Girls” by Sean Kingston came on the loud speaker. If you aren’t familiar with the lyrics, here’s a sample, “ You're way too beautiful girl That's why it'll never work You'll have me suicidal, suicidal When you say it's over Damn all these beautiful girls They only wanna do you dirt They'll have you suicidal, suicidal When they say it's over”
It was not a kid-friendly version as the word “suicidal” was loud and clear. So there was inappropriate music playing and then no event. I’m not sure if the music was intended to be the “event,” but there was no dance party of anything included with it. Also, the snack bar did not have a working card machine and wouldn’t take cash (despite the sign indicating they did). You had to order and then pay up front.
So, pretty disappointed all around. Please screen the music for children and maybe encourage the staff to have more kid-friendly demeanors since this is, after all, an establishment who’s target demographic is children.
Update: I just went to order food and there’s a large puddle with a wet floor sign, but seemed to be no effort to actually clean it up or dry it. My 3-year-old daughter walked through the puddle, getting her socks wet, and now won’t leave them on. Hard to blame her as who wants to...
Read moreI am so not recommending this place as it is right now!!!!!!!
We have been here a lot! In the past my 3 y/o one and me we had lots of fun! But today it was the worst experience!
At the entrance already we didn’t get the happy smile and warm welcome as usual! Just a „You know we close today at 5 pm since we have a private event“ LOL are you serious?! Not even a „hey, welcome in, or something“ and then mention the early closing!! The next thing was the guy didn’t ask me friendly if I was here before or if he can have the phone number on the waiver. NO, he literally just said „phone number?” Very rude!!!!
When we entered the general area there were only dirty tables and a extremely dirty floor Well I was just thinking ok we’re just here for one hour… But this place needs either more employees or just an employee training on how to keep that place clean. I don’t know if there is even a concept of cleaning the entire facility throughout the day and a deep cleaning at the end of the day (especially in Covid times) but it does not exist with these recent employees!!
My 3 y/o child had already in the past the hand, foot & mouth disease because of that place and at that time it was not as dirty as today… TODAY it was simply DISGUSTING!!! You can see it on the pictures.. the kids didn’t wear socks as the facility has this in their policy. No wonder that kids get sick when they crawl where other kids step barefooted and touch their face… And you can also see on the pictures that it is massively stained so kids must have drunk and spilled drinks and or food!
So I am already actively looking for an alternative place where I can go with my child without having thoughts afterwards not being sick for...
