We recently had the pleasure of working with Stefano, Star Home Remodeling for our kitchen remodeling /flooring project, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Stefano and his guys did a GREAT job on my house remodel.

I was initially planning on having an extensive kitchen and master bath remodel donne before moving into my house - and then renovating the remainder of the house in sections at later dates. During the inital design and layout discussions, Stefano and I agreed that the optimal kitchen layout would necessitate moving one wall and removing another in order to open the kitchen and den into a unified single "great room" with configuration that would best suit my needs. As the wall being removed was determined to be a "load bearing" wall, Stefano arranged a structural engineer to assess the needs to maintain structural integrity of the house - additional beam installation, costs, etc before the work on the house began. I appreciated Stefano's attention to detail throughout these discussions and - as the structural work was reviewed and approved (and my multiple changes made) - he was patient to ensure things were going to be exactly the way I wanted them. As the work began, and I saw the quality and attention to detail of the work Star Home Remodeling was doing and decided to go ahead and finish out the rest of the house before moving in. My remodel of a 3K sq. ft house included complete demolition and new layout of kitchen (with a load bearing wall removed and another wall relocated) and master bath (w/spectacular shower), addition of a wine bar, new wood and tile flooring throughout the house, all new cabinetry and appliances; matching granite in kitchen, wine bar, and all 3 bathrooms. Additionally, every wall and ceiling in the house was resurfaced to include new recessed ceiling light fixtures, ceiling fans, etc. Throughout the entire process, I appreciated that the crews showed up to work on time and ready to work, verified with Stefano and me any questions they had, and also cleaned up the construction debris at the end of every day. Anyone who visits my house is very impressed with the end result - especially those who have seen both the "before" and "after".

The only reason I'm rating Star Home Remodeling as a "5" on the scale of 1 to 5 is because the system won't allow me to rate them an "8"...

My experience with this company started June 2009 with granite counter tops in the kitchen. This included an under mount stainless steel sink. There were a few hiccups with the installation regarding time and showing up, but for the most part went ok. I went on to have them install tile on the floors of my master bath, guest bath and laundry room. Those went great. Then 3 years after the kitchen was done the sink fell out of the counter top. Since I rarely had more than a plate or two in the sink at one time I was shocked. I contacted a representative of the the design center and was told," Well that sometimes happens and we can come reinstall it for $125.00 or you can have someone else do it". I called around and it would take 2 weeks for another company to come out, and since my sink was being held up by a 4X4 piece of wood I put under it I told the design center to come fix it. Now here it is 2 years after that repair the sink fell out again! That is twice in 5 years!! July 3 same answer from the design center.. we will come fix it for another $125 and will be a week before repair can be done. Wow....well I wasn't about to spend more money with them. I spoke to several granite installation companies who were surprised about the first falling sink and astounded by the second fall. Each representative asked who the company was and why they weren't fixing it at no charge for either repair. Needless to say I wondered...
