"This restaurant needs to close down or better upgrade their services. Very disappointed with the service, food quality, serving size, and a service charge of 18% on a group of 04 Adults and 02 infants. There is nothing 'Punjabi-styled' about the cuisine, it's a Mediterranean restaurant.
First of all, there are three individuals at the establishment, one cook, one server and perhaps the owner/cook. This strength is not enough to serve at the restaurant of this size. The disadvantage was that the order was brought in piece-meal.
We initially ordered the Whole Chicken, 5 minutes later, the server came and said that they are out of the Chicken. We had to resort to a half gyro/half chicken Shawarma platter and a Combo 01.
The rice used is of inferior quality and had small broken grains. The Shawarma platter priced at 18.99 was literally inferior rice sprinkled with small pieces/scalps of gyro/chicken shawarma. The Chicken in the shawarma platter was literally re-heated and served.
The Combo 01 was served hot but there was no coordination between the kitchen and the serving desk. Parts of the platter were served in piece-meal. The Shawarma platter was served initially, after a hiatus of 10 minutes, the cold Naans and bland Raita/Yogurt were served, followed by the incomplete Combo 01 after 5-7 minutes. The malai boti of the Combo 01 was served 5 minutes later. The Chicken and Beef Seekh Kebabs were not flavourful and were just filled with red spice to make them spicy and hide the bland taste.
The chef/owner in the kitchen was observed to use his bare hands to serve chicken and kebabs from the skewer onto the plate. Flies and fleas were witnessed enjoying the dining area as well. Overall hygiene was not a priority at this food establishment.
The only star accrues to the owner's audacity to visit every customer's table and ask if everything is ok.
Not recommended at all !!
There are much better places in the DFW area to try Mediterranean cuisine or Kebabs.
I have tried to put forth an honest review for the Foodies in the DFW area and save people's hard...
Read more5 stars because I did not get sick like I usually do from restaurants. 2 stars for food: We usually eat Mediterranean food at home and outside the home. The soup was tasty but VERY salty and way too much cumin. I never had a lentil soup out of the hundreds I ordered that had this much cumin in it. Their meat was dry. Their bread was OLD and COLD. If you don't make your own bread, please don't give us old bread. I can just get fresh bread from the supermarket.
The rice was OLD. I came at 2:30 pm for a pick up order for one combo plate and two sandwiches. No one liked their food. Maybe their food quality is better on a Friday PM instead of a Monday afternoon. I came to their restaurant specifically on this day bc they have daily specials that change every day. The owner or cashier said they don't have the special. Why put it on the menu then? The 30 minutes I was there waiting for the food, not a single customer came in.
Save your money and go to Dimassis or Ali Baba. They both have fresh...
Read moreRevisited again a year later and thankfully the food and service was much much better. I have been fair and changed my review accordingly. Well done and thank you.
Overall, the food quality was poor, although the starters of Hummus and an Arabic salad were good. For the main course, we ordered the Combination Platter of meats and were deeply disappointed. Mostly very dry and over-cooked. The Shawarma was almost burnt instead of being juicy and tender. The accompanying Basmati rice was uninspiring and tasteless. To cap it all, they automatically charged 18% for the service without even consulting us. The waiter then insisted that this was perfectly acceptable. I pointed out that their menu didn't mention that an 18% service charge was mandatory, but my reasoning fell on deaf ears. I want to add that the restaurant was practically empty - the reasons for which I now completely understand. No,never again! There are far too many other Mediterranean/Arabic restaurants offering...
