Dallas Birthday Party Venue Collection - Continuously Updated (1️⃣)

First, I want to say Sierra did a great job, especially considering she was working with a two-year-old for a birthday package. At that age, the experience is really more for the parent than the child, so this review is more of a vibe check than anything else. For context, I was part of the original team that helped open this store years ago and even managed another location, so I’ll admit I probably have higher expectations. (I even added a throwback photo for some credibility 😅.) That said, I left feeling like the experience could’ve been a lot more magical. I totally understand the importance of staff taking their roles seriously—especially in a salon setting, but since this is a place designed for little girls and celebrations, it felt a bit too stiff and transactional. It seemed like everyone was just doing their job and checking boxes, rather than really creating a memorable experience. The overall atmosphere felt more like a retail store than a fun party environment. A little music, more visible excitement when kids walk through the door—especially on their birthday—would go a long way. I completely understand we only booked a salon service this time, but we were also scoping it out for potential future parties. My suggestion is to encourage the team to be a little more warm and playful. Smiles, energy, and personal touches really matter—especially in a space designed for kids. You can still have structure while letting the joy come through.

We celebrated our little girls bday at Sweet & Sassy with her bestie! Pros: Samya was amazing, gentle and had fun with the girls. They did mani/pedi, braids, and makeup. The girls had a blast! $75 for each girl. The staff was really sweet. Cons: it felt a little rushed, both girls’ nails didn’t dry all the way so they were messed up by the time we left, we originally had two people assigned but one is no longer there so we had one lady which made it feel rushed. The facial was like 2 mins long and the girls had to sit and wait for the others hair… we were done in about 50 mins and felt rushed out the door bc they were booked back to back…

I'll start with this place is adorable immediately catches your eye. They book up very fast so make sure you make an appointment way ahead of time ( we booked for 2 kids mani and pedis to be done together) upon arrival they were a little backed up, which is understandable with several employees sitting around including the manager. The girls barely received their services together because they only had one technician available to do both. Meaning that our second kid didn't get to even sit in the water for more than 2 minutes. When we brought this to the managers attention she said oh well, they'll both be getting done with no concern for the lack of customer service she was providing. Our technician was Julia and she was fantastic! The girls loved interacting with her and the adorable styles she did. However I'd say don't waste your time unless you are booking a party or coming for a party because when there is one going they don't pay any attention to other guests. What you get for the cost is very underwhelming and you would be better off paying for a kids mani pedi and a regular salon. When we arrived there was a birthday party going on that had 3 people working it they were ending stage with dancing and parents taking pictures we asked if one would be available since we booked for 2 at the same time and they told us that none of them were certified to do nails. As we were checking out of one those same people took a new customer and started working on her nails. The service today was unacceptable. And after have talking to the manager and expressing our concerns about the entire service they then added an auto gratuity to our party of two saying that that is standard for any services for 2 or more people. We tipped in cash and tipped over their auto gratuity amount so they did...

We have been to several birthday parties here in the past, and this year my daughter wanted to have hers at Sweet & Sassy.

Leading up to the event I asked to book an 'add-on', which would usually be either letting the girls make their own lotion, foot scrub, or perfume/bubble bath. Well, according to them, they didn't have enough of anything except the lotion, so I went ahead and went with that.

On the day of the party I called and asked if I needed to bring a lighter for the candles. Yep. I asked about plates? I should bring those too. Napkins? Cups? Yep, they were low on all of it and suggested I bring my own to ensure we had enough (we are only talking about 8 girls here).

Once we arrived a girl introduced herself as the host of our party and started getting the girls into dresses and makeup and hair, etc... After which it was cake time and there wasn't a host in sight. So I gabbed my knife and plates and started cutting cake while popping straws in capri suns.

The party got to the final time and parents started to leave. At this point I tracked the hostess down and asked about the lotion add-on. Apparently the girls are supposed to do that after the party, but before they leave. She had also forgotten to get the printed pictures and put them in the girls take home bags.

Once I brought my concerns up to the owner it was unfortunately too late to do much about it. Most of the girls were gone already. So she threw some extra stuff in my daughter's bag to make up for it. While the gesture was appreciated, we are talking about junk that costs a few cents here. What would have actually been appreciated would have been knowing that after paying $300 my daughter's birthday was taken care of and I would be doing just as much work taking care of the kids as if I had had it at...

Avoid at all costs for the safety of your children. We hosted my daughter’s birthday party at Sweet & Sassy, and what should have been a joyful celebration turned into a medical emergency due to the venue's gross negligence.

My 20-month-old niece fell from a dangerously high chair — completely inappropriate for a child her age — provided by the facility. She lost consciousness, displayed seizure-like symptoms, and became unresponsive. Multiple moms and I had to call 911 ourselves, as no staff member offered assistance or acted with any urgency. She was rushed to the hospital and later transferred due to a skull fracture and internal bleeding.

Even more disturbing: no incident report was filed, no manager ever came over, and no one from the staff followed up — not during the party, not afterward, not at all. I’ve since sent an email, called multiple times, and left voicemails — and still have not received any response.

Yet, despite this complete lack of action or accountability, gratuity was still added to the final bill.

Sweet & Sassy claims on their website that “safety is our top priority” and that their staff is trained to provide a secure, welcoming environment. That could not be further from the truth. The lack of age-appropriate equipment, the staff's total unresponsiveness during a medical crisis, and their complete failure to acknowledge what happened created a truly dangerous and unacceptable situation.

Parents — do NOT bring your children to Sweet & Sassy. It is unsafe, unprofessional, and unprepared to handle emergencies. I would never recommend this...
