Total Disappointment at La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Plantation – We Will Never Return Review: We stayed here 3 years ago and had a good experience, but this time the hotel completely disappointed us. From the very first day, everything went downhill. 1. Wrong and uncomfortable room We booked a room with two queen beds because we have two young children (2 years old and 7 months), but we were given two small double beds, which were extremely uncomfortable. This directly affected our rest. 2. Total lack of cleanliness The elevator was dirty from the moment we arrived (sticky floor with spilled drinks). The carpet in our room was badly stained, had sticky spots, and smelled bad. During our 15-day stay, the room was only cleaned three times, despite multiple requests. Bed sheets, pillows, and comforters were never changed. 3. Unsafe and unfamily-friendly environment Permanent residents live on the 4th floor, creating an environment completely unsuitable for a hotel. At night there was loud music, the smell of marijuana, alcohol, and constant noise. A neighboring family with two young girls made noise until very late (screaming at midnight and 3 a.m.), and when we called the front desk, nothing was done. We were particularly concerned about the well-being of those minors, who were kept inside most of the time and only came out for breakfast. 4. Basic services not provided • No towels at the pool, forcing us to return to the room soaking wet. • Bathroom light burned out and was never fixed, despite multiple requests. • Laundry dryers out of service: we lost money twice trying to use them, and the staff’s response was simply, “Sorry, it doesn’t work.” 5. Poor maintenance and lack of control Bad smells in the hallways, stained carpets throughout the hotel, and a complete lack of enforcement of the non-smoking policy. The environment was far from clean, safe, or quiet. Conclusion: This hotel has completely lost the standards it once had. Service is poor, cleanliness is nonexistent, the environment is unsafe, and management is indifferent to guests’ problems. This is not a place for families or for anyone seeking a smoke-free, respectful, and peaceful environment. We will not return, and we do not recommend it under any circumstances.

The next day when we told the lady at the front desk (who was very nice) what we found we were told that the manager wouldn't be back until 9am the next morning and we'd have to speak with her about the situation then. So now going on day 3 (it is Saturday) after our breakfast we went to the desk and asked for the manager. We were told to come back later because the manager wasn't coming in until the afternoon. After going to a wedding we arrived back at the hotel around 5pm we explained the situation to the manager and our rooms were changed. We were also told we'd be compensated for 1 day. We explained that we felt if we were being compensated it should've been for our first two days we spent before our rooms were changed on our third day. We were told that because of a "policy" we would only be refunded for one. Confused we asked more information on "this policy" and no description could be given. We were then given the general managers contact information and told "because it's the weekend we would not hear from her until Monday (we'd already be checked out by this time) and that nothing could be done for now". Very disappointed with the way this situation was handled. Update: it is now Monday 12/30/2019 it's our check out day and yesterday (Sunday) we had to switch rooms AGAIN because the carpet was soaking wet and the room smelt like mildew. There were also stains in those sheets as well. We let the desk know and that's when they switched our rooms. We wanted to talk the other general manager because I this point we only spent one night in the final room and they only want to refund us for 2 nights. When we've spent 3 days and 3 nights in 2 other rooms. And the first manager we spoke to had an attitude. I feel like we deserved an entire refund because our stay consisted of nothing but problems.

I had to leave finally!!! I had stayed here prior years but this place has gone way downhill!! I mean horrible! First we get there and go to room only to find one of the beds completely sunken in in the middle… noticeable to th eye! We requested new room , and the room did not have microwave ( other room did) and I requested one as I needed it. Was told no one there to get us one, I said I could get it out of the previous room— was told no I could not do that—BUT she gave me the option to call her whenever I needed to use it and she would meet me at the other room ( on a different floor ) to use LOL! I asked if this gentleman who had a staff shirt on could get it and she dismissed me and said he did not work there he was from the sister site😂. I was upset he saw me at desk and approached, asked if I needed help —- so HE got me a microwave after I explained everything. BUt then—- In our room we turned ( or tried to) the bathroom light on… it was SO DIM looked like a scary movie in there! THEN we were watching a movie and I started itching like crazy—YEP you guessed it BED BUGS and very visible to the eye in both beds!!!!We left right then and requested refund!!!! The whole place smelled of weed and the gap under the doors is also more than an inch !! Posted pics of most of the issues and bed differences too!

Stay Away from this and the location on 8101 Peters Road. I have been going to both these locations for 2 years..have stayed well over 40 times..and in those times several were for 20 days or so and more. Also I have many more stays before I even was a reward memeber. Go online and you will see whole hosts of complaints, and in all my time going here I have experienced probably all of them. It started with even just checking in..they would charge you for incidentals but it would not get refunded back to your card. Several times that happened and I had to fight with my credit card just to get my money back and wait weeks and was a real hassle..I complained to them about this back then..since then and all my time I have watched this chain go down the drain The managers don't bother to even listen or address your complaints. The assistant manager JP is the worst of them all and easy to see when you have someone like this in management why the hotel has gone down the tube and why they will keep losing customers. He gets upset if you..YoU experience any issues and tell them then you complain too much..wah wah..poor baby..Complete incompetent and has no idea how to solve issues or work with customers. I have seen and experienced so much here. I went back many times due to the convenience and locations but that was a mistake. Roaches all the time. Loud noise and doors banging late at night..mold..disgusting mold in the bathtub..foul smells in the room..dirty stained caplets. Broken tvs in so many of the rooms..NO HOT WATER at all..hair from previous guests under the blanket! And one of the worst I have been getting these bumps all over and looks like rash and told it is BED BUGS!!! Also so many times there are people smoking and you smell that and pot smell throughout.

Best part is even if you do complain or tell them..they do nothing about anything! Then when you go next time and nothing has changed and you tell them again about it..Your a complainer..No actually I am one of your best customers..IDIOTS! If corporate saw how these people are running these hotels and losing customers they would see the managers and assistant manager especially should be fired immediately..oh yea about management kinda funny that the managers are sisters! So that means if you complain or for some reason one doesn't like you then good luck at the other location if you have issues. I am writing this review now after checking out my last time the other day with NO hot water the whole time and had to leave without a shower! Best thing that happened was finally getting so disgusted that just a short walk down from this location is a HAMPTON INN..a real hotel! OMG so nice! What a difference to stay at a real hotel. People are nice..place is super clean and tvs work. Hot water..good bedding not like their old bent up mattresses and bed bugs there! Eew..so disgusting..do yourself a favor go look online at all the complaints and you will be wise even if it costs $10 or $20 more to go stay at the Hampton Inn or some other hotel...I wouldn't even put them in the same class as hotel or like this place here the Hampton Inn..what a difference..oh and watch out if you write a bad review lol some staff member may not like it and say they want to punch you in the face..going to talk with a lawyer and see how they like that!! Disgusting place and even more disgusting the assistant manager JP and the managers..they should be fired and get some competent real managers. YOU BEEN WARNED..CHECK AND SEE HOW MANY ARE DISGUSTED WITH THESE HOTELS AND ALL THE...

We have stayed at this LaQuinta many times over the past few years, it was always excellent. This stay, four nights, July 27 thru July 31, 2025 was a totally different experience.|Upon check in we were told that there would be no service or cleaning for the first three days of our stay and if we needed towels or anything just to come down to the front desk and request them. It was no problem for us as we were only going to be in the room to shower and sleep. We got our keys and went up to the fourth floor to our room. We were grubby from our long drive and we just wanted to get a shower, change clothes, and go out for dinner. We were surprised that upon entering the bathroom that there was only one bath towel, one hand cloth, and one face cloth.|Well, there were two of us, and we were told that they would be no room cleaning for three days, so I got dressed and went downstairs to the front desk to request more bath towels. The Lady at the desk, who we just saw ten minutes prior, said Oh, I'm sorry we do not have anymore bath towels. She looked at me and then said well, I have some pool towels, would you like one? She said the bath towels were all in the dryer and she would have a couple delivered to our room. I took the pool towel which was very small, said thank you and went back to the room. When we got back to the hotel late at night there was still no bath towels delivered.|I went back downstairs to request towels, the new lady on the desk said they did not have any, but here are some hand towels, I asked for some bath towels to be delivered in the morning. The next day, we used the small hand towels, and headed out for the day, when we returned in the late afternoon, there were two bath towels delivered, I went back downstairs to see if I could get some towels for the next day, the lady said sorry we do not have any towels but she would send some up, she gave me two pool towels. This went on for our entire stay. On the morning of our third day, I told the lady at the desk that since we were only going to stay one more night that they did not have to clean our room on the fourth day as it would be a shame to clean for just one night and have to clean again the next day once we left. Wow, four nights two guests, and only three bath towels provided for two people. The hair blow dryer did not work, I went downstairs to report it and the lady gave me a very nice hand held blow dryer to use. The table, dresser, and night stands were all sticky, I tried to clean them with a cloth and water, but it did not work. The breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, cheese omelets, sausage links, sausage patties, turkey patties, potatoes, bread, bagels, etc, The hotel always was very clean in the past, it is now showing it's wear. The location is excellent, the staff is very nice. It is a shame that the staff is subjected to such poor management and has to face the paying guests and tell them that they have no towels for, in our case, four straight...

Horrible experience !! My son and i have stayed in this Hotel for 4-5 years , when we visit the area to see the Atlanta Braves play. I have a good friend who used to be in charge of this hotel. He recently retired. So I had my brother in law, who lives in the area go reserve us a room for 2 nights 7/10/21 and 7/11/21. We checked in on Friday night. There was 2 young guys at the desk who were extremely nice and helpful. I told them we had reservations for 2 nights. He told me cost would be, i believe $ 189. I paid and we checked in. On Sat. we were chilling in the room and one of the room cleaning people knocked on the door and told my son that we were supposed to be kicked out of the hotel. My son asked why. She said because you didn't pay for another night. My son told her that we would go to front desk after we get ready for the game and deal with the issue, and that we thought we paid for 2 nights. Shortly after that, the front desk called my cell phone and my son answered. The lady was rude and obnoxious and asked are you coming down here ? My son said we thought we had paid for 2 nights, and she continued to harass him. I took the phone and she was rude to me as well. I told her that we were coming down , and at that point i did use one curse word. I was very upset. Did this lady actually think we thought we could steal a free night in a hotel LOL ? I got dressed and we ready to go take care of the issue, when i got a knock on the door. It was 3 cops. The front desk called them ! I explained to the cops what happened and they said maybe the lady was having a bad day. They also said the lady had told the cops we cannot stay there and we were being kicked out . We had one hour to get to the game in Miami, and had to deal with this. I felt like i was in the twilight zone ! We were , needless to say , very upset, at this point. We left our car somewhere and had to find another hotel after the game. By the way, the room was a non smoking room and had heavy nicotine odor and moldy odor. We ended up in the Holiday Inn express in Davie. Rooms were much nicer and cleaner. We will never stay in this dump again and , if the owner or manager reads this, you should look into who was working the front desk on Sat. 7/10/21 at approx. 3:00 PM. All they had to do was call me or send someone to my room and let me know nicely there must be a mistake , as you only paid for 1 night. But no, they had to cause a fiasco and treat us like...
