Regal Broward — Attraction in Plantation

This was my first time visiting this Movie Theater and I was Extremely Offended, Angry and quite Disappointed. This was tonight, Friday, 10/6, 8:15pm movie. One of the employees working this night, a white male, I won't state his name, just say it starts with an "S" (I am giving this individual more respect than he gives the "people of color")who was working the station/area/spot of collecting the Movie tickets at the entrance area for each individual movie. It was infuriating when I personally experienced and observed this individual "Racial Profiling"! He only decided to "exercise" this "so called" Policy of checking "bags & backpacks", (this policy does not state Purses, which already Violates a woman's Privacy; which is what I was caring), Only on Women of Color! This was Appalling to not only observe, but to Experience as well. What's even more disappointing, when I went to the Guest Service desk and spoke with, I'm guessing was the Supervisor working this night, Mr. M.H., to report this Racist behavior, he appeared and responded with No concern. And even when I informed this Supervisor that Racial Profiling is against the Law and would give Regal (esp. this location) a Bad Name/Reputation, he still showed No cobcern and made No attempt to rectify this situation, as if this is something "Racial Profiling" they do on a Daily basis at this location. He Really didnt care. I was so Hurt & Offended that I could not even enjoy, nor finish the Movie i paid and came to watch. I will not Ever return to this Regal Cinema and have every intention and plan to report this Behavior to their Corporate Office. They need to be informed of the Racist behavior that is taking place at this Regal location before they (this Broward Blvd location) causes them(Regal) to have an Extremely tainted Reputation, lose Patrons and even increase their chances of facing a Lawsuit. It would be an Excellent time to have their employees And Supervisor to be Trained in "Cultural Competence"...

I was at Regal Of Broward Mall to see the new Bad Boys c For Father's Day with my wife. While in the theater watching the movie young people seated behind me had there feet on top of the chair next to me near my face. I waited a shrt while to see if they will remove their feet from the top back of the chair, which they did not. I got up out of my seat a left the theater area where the movie I came to watch to look for assistance from a Regal employee. I found one and told him my story. He said he will notify someone so I went back in the theater. Unfortunately no one came and I endured bad feet smell not enjoying the movie on Father's Day. After the movie I saw the Regal employee again and I told him that no one ever came to my aide. He stated he told management. I spoke to management and they told me they couldn't come due to them being busy cooking. As I was talking to them they never looked at me or ever acknowledged me talking to them. As a 52 year old black man who believe in doing things descent and in order I let this theater feeling disrespected by management. Nothing was ever done to try and make me feel comforted. Before I let the theater I went back to the Regal Employee and thanked him for his help. As a black adult I would not recommend anybody if same color to frequent this Regal Cinema. Apparently they are not in tye business of helping minorities who believe in doing things descent...

One star is being gracious. This place is the WORST THEATER to spend your money at. Starting with the “Teenager Rule” the General Manger here Carlos, has implemented a rule at this theatre only, no other regal cinemas carry this policy. They do not allow any child under 18 to watch any movie together without being accompanied by an adult after 7pm . I’m sorry what? So no teenager can do a normal teen activity like attended a movie with friends because Carlos has deemed all teenagers “problematic” with heartless judgment. That’s audacious and something I’ve never heard of before in my life. Upon being told this rule I asked for a corporate contact number, in which I was told there is no corporate contact and that the best way to contact anyone is by social media. I will never and I advise you never give this theatre your business in the future. All kids are not problematic if there is situational issues you handle them upon the situation you don’t rule out everyone as an issue. NEVER EVER AGAIN. This PLACE SUCKS. And their concession stand takes over 20 mins to even reach a cashier. Please take your movie viewing pleasures elsewhere and never at this Broward Mall location. Because Carlos might deem you problematic aswell. They will literally chase you down and harass you...
