So I don't usually do these ratings as it takes a lot to upset me and make me write a bad review. After this horrible experience by their staff I don't even feel like eating this chaufa I was craving all day today. I have never been to this place but saw it had good ratings so figured I would give it a try. I call to place an order for pick up. When i get there ... I see a line (mind you there are no signs to tell a customer where "pick up" or "pay here") so I get in line. As I'm waiting I see a lady tending to the line and about 3 servers /workers walking around (they don't look very busy compared to the ladies behind the counter). So I'm just on my cell answering text messages and only about 5 minutes pass by and one of the ladies behind the counter says to another one in Spanish "what is that man waiting for?" So I intercede and say "oh I called in for a pick up order". The lady rudely says "well did u pay for it yet?" So I react defensively and say "well no I was waiting here in this line because I thought this is where I'm supposed to pay. No one told me otherwise." And again with a rude demeanor she says "well did YOU say anything to anyone?" and I said "well i didn't see any indication that I was to go somewhere else to pay first, I just saw this line. I'm a paying customer so figured someone would direct me where to go if I'm in the wrong spot" (like most decent restaurants where they treat a paying customer like a human being and not like a burden). So I go over to the other side of the counter to pay and the lady there starts lecturing me about how I'm suppose to go over to this side and pay first when I come back there (what made her think I'm coming back there is beyond me!) I just told her as calmly as I could because I was so irritated by their treatment was that "if you guys see a paying customer waiting in the wrong line then you should probably let him know that especially since you have NO SIGNS anywhere that direct customers where to go to place or pick up an order. " La Brasa you could have had a REGULAR paying customer but not if you hire workers that don't know how to treat customers. I'll just take my business to the other Peruvian restaurants that don't make me feel like I'm...
Read moreThe cashier there is extremely rude and disgusting. Honestly she's lucky my family is a quite family, that's peaceful, I'm sure if she pulled that attitude with someone else they would've physically defended themselves. We ordered 3 meals. My mom explained to her she didn't want rice that she just wanted a side salad instead. The cashier looked a little confused so I simply said "chicken and instead of black beans an rice we want to change it to salad" the cashier said ok. We go to sit down. An the girl sent chicken and rice and beans. No big deal. My mom told the girl the waitress that she ordered salad. This is supposed to be a simple mistake just fix it. Nobody is mad. It's not a big deal. The waitress takes the plate and walks it back to the cashier. The cashier grabs it and runs back to our table an is putting the plate an inch away from my mom's face saying we ordered this. The plate is so close it's almost touching my mom's face. My mom is older and is obviously shaken up. I had to tell the cashier to get away from her. I was considering calling the police. Disgusting management nobody not 1 time came out to stop her from yelling and acting crazy. I don't wish anything bad on anyone but 1 day that girl will meet someone that's nice and peaceful. Disgusting behavior and will...
Read moreBlack beans and yucca were on point no complaints there. The three stars is for the chicken. Whoever marinated the chicken did a poor job on doing it. It tasted like a regular rotisserie chicken you buy at a regular grocery store. It was not spiced up like Peruvians do. Also, it was not a la braza at all, the only thing a la brasa is in the name of the place, very misleading to name a place la brasa 🤨🤨. The salsas disappointed me even more, the aji verde was watered up. No aji amarillo either. Nothing I tasted had that authentic Peruvian punch to it. I’ll continue my quest to find an authentic Peruvian & Mexican food restaurant in the state of Florida because so far 👎🏽 nothing I have tried has tamed my taste buds. The cashier taking my order was polite and suggested ordering the lunch special. On the other hand the waitress kept bringing food I didn’t order to my table and making other customers mad in the process 😁😁. I could’ve given them a 4star for that but She was nice and attentive to my needs tho. In conclusion this a great place for rotisserie chicken, it was fresh and good tasting but definitely not at the level Peruvians spice up & cook their pollo a la brasa. I would definitely not come back to try their...
