Iâm very disappointed with my experience at Jules Smith. I brought in five pieces of jewelry for repair and scheduled an appointment a little over two weeks later to both pick up the repairs and discuss a setting for my engagement ring. When I returned for the appointment, the owner, Greg, had no recollection of it and seemed completely unprepared.
What was even more frustrating was the quote I received for the engagement ring settingâit was over $1,000 more than quotes I had already gotten elsewhere for the exact same style. That felt unreasonable and out of touch with market pricing.
To make matters worse, not a single one of the jewelry repairs had been completed. While I understand that one of the pieces required a quote before proceeding, I had assumed that the other itemsâwhich required no additional inputâwould have been repaired in the meantime. Unfortunately, nothing had been done.
This experience was both disappointing and a waste of time. I expected more professionalism and...
Read moreThe JewelSmithâs is a true gem! No pun intended. đ I took in a ring to their Pleasant Hill store that my husband had given me for an anniversary. It had two small gems on that alternately kept falling out. I had been to several jewelry stores to try to get the problem resolved. Never had any luck. JewelSmiths made a slight change to the shape of the gems. The ring looks lovely and I think the gems are much more secure. They also helped select and create two birth stone droplets for a necklace we gave to our daughter to celebrate the arrival of our two grandchildren. The gems are so much more vivid than those we had seen in the jewelry shops we had visited. I canât wait to look through some of our inherited pieces of jewelry that are a bit dated and have JewelSmiths redesign a ring or a pendent. Their work is beautiful. I know without a doubt that we will return at some point to have something very...
Read moreLove, love, love this place. Greg is a wonderful person to work with! He has great ideas for new pieces, as well as redesigning "old" pieces. I have had several pieces made, and I'll have more pieces redesigned in the future. My son is having Greg make an engagement ring for his girlfriend, from his grandfather's diamond, from afar! He is in the St. Louis area, and couldn't find a local jeweler that would use the diamonds we had. Greg has made it very easy for this to happen over 3 dimensional emails, phone calls and maybe even skype. Thank you Greg, Diane
Itâs me again! Just had another piece of jewelry made! A beautiful ring to replace the one of my mothers that I lost. It is gorgeous and takes my breath away. I wish I could add a picture, but google wonât let me attach a photo. I do not have words to describe...
