We had planned a party for our son and had not received the customer service promised. The store had moved two days prior and we were told we would get a call with the exact location of the store. We tried calling for three days and did not get an answer and didn’t have time to drive around searching for the store. We finally got the location of the store from the Walnut Creek Color me Mine store.
I spoke to the owner of the store at 150 Main St., Pleasanton - where our party was planned - about our experience. He did not use the most basic of customer service skills to address our concern by apologizing for the inconvenience we had experienced. I pointed this out to him and he started to use curse words in his response. We asked him not to do so and he did it again. We canceled our party.
I still believe in the Color Me Mine experience for kids and adults, which is available at other locations and other businesses like Art Cafe in Dublin, where the owner believes in customer service and doing at least the basics of customer service, because it’s common courtesy.
I refuse to give any store owner my business, who thinks it is fine to verbally abuse customers. The 15 families invited to our party now know about our experience and more will. It’s an expensive lesson to learn. Businesses should not forget that customers are their life blood and treating them with respect and...
Read moreWhen we got there the atmosphere seemed nice and friendly. We had to get put on a wait-list but luckily there's a lot of places to eat and shop right outside so we weren't bored while waiting. They said 30 minutes but it ended up being shorter. The staff were super nice and made sure that we were situated with everything and helped us a lot. There's a wide variety of pottery to choose from and many colors, stencils, stamps, guides, pencils, erasers, and a lot of other things to help you paint. Each pottery piece comes with an example which I found really helpful. We could stay there as long as we wanted so we didn't feel rushed trying to pick out something to paint. The whole process was easy from start to finish and beginner friendly as we had never done this before....
Read moreI’ve been to Color me mine with my nephew and niece in July. They had fun painting their pieces, but we were informed that the pieces that usually take 1 week to be ready would take 2 weeks because their oven was broken. We said it wouldn’t be a problem. At 2 weeks I called there and they said it would probably take a month. After a month and tired of waiting I went there physically just to be informed that it was still not ready and that they would call me when it was ready. It has been FIVE MONTHS and I didn’t...
