Jenkinson's Amusement Park has so much to offer to both children and adults. We went in on a mildly hot day and had a blast. For some $46 and change you acquire a wrist band that allows for unlimited rides for 3 hours. I'm not sure the rides are unlimited since one of the wrist band's last ride came about before the second wrist band we bought that actually had less than 10 rides on it but did expired due to the 3 hours limit. The second wrist band was mine and I had to stop because I got hot sick and nauseated from the rides and by the time we all resumed I only had less than an hour left on my wrist band. All in all money well spent. The rides may last between 5 to 7 minutes although I didn't time them. One particular activity was very short but fun slide with a sac. Except from one very grumpy looking and unfriendly older employee located at the Fire Trucks ride most employees were teenagers or just very young amicable and professionals doing their job catering to children and adults. I think it's worth mentioning that if a person intends to make some money on this type of employment think twice before coming to work with a straigh face and an nasty attitude to a place where people come with their love ones to have fun. Other than that our experience was very positive and loving. We parked at the Aquarium's parking lot for $20, had delicious soft ice cream on cones and ice cream dots on cups and some fast food namely chicken fingers and mozarella sticks that were okay for the moment during a short break so I could re-coup. I'm sure there were more food choices and more restaurants with healthier food, more expensive options as well. Just look at the pictures and videos. I won't be able to recount every ride and fun moments. I will highly recommend and plan to go back next week before September starts. I talked to and mingled with many people. Two memorable encounters were a family of three generations traveling together from Upper State NY. Their youngest: a boy probably 10 years old and the girl probably 7 or 8 years old and the other family was a couple with a 2 years old boy and a 2 months baby...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe employees could use some training in basic social skills. For example, if a customer walks up to buy something at a food stand and says āhello,ā giving a blank stare back is just baffling to me. Itās bad enough to not be greeted by the employee, but this is next level. I encountered this similar cold unfriendly attitude at a few different spots. The employee working the shark game was staring off into the crowd when we walked up to play and didnāt even acknowledge us. We were the only ones there. I had to say to him, āHiā¦.so how do we play this game?ā to even initiate the game so my children could play. And most of the employees working the rides just take your kidās arm to scan their wristband and donāt say a word.
I will make a shoutout however to the young woman who said āhave a nice dayā as we exited a ride, who was (sadly) a refreshing change from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe always enjoy going to Jenkinson's Boardwalk, but since Covid-19 we did have a few concerns. Not everyone was practicing social distancing while waiting their turn on line for a ride, they weren't wearing their masks (even though there were signs EVERYWHERE) and/or hand sanitizing before and/or after each ride. I was disappointed that cleaning between riders wasn't completed. If the attendant required each person to hand sanitize and wear their masks, I would have felt better. Thankfully my family and I DO practice the correct social distancing requirements so we still enjoyed our time at...
