Jenkinson's South Gift Shop — Attraction in Point Pleasant Beach

While taking a stroll through the boardwalk, my boyfriend and I decided to stop in the gift shop to look for gifts about a week back. As we walked in a woman who seemed to be the manager said hello while she held a phone up to her face. Shortly after saying hello that woman began to yell into the phone. She was making extremely disrespectful and inappropriate comments into the phone in front of many of the customers. I do not want to explain the things that she said because they were so awful. She even went as far as to threaten whoever was on the phone, to "report her parents to ICE." The woman continued to have this phone conversation in front of the entire store of customers, while my boyfriend and I walked out of the store nearly sick from hearing this. This incident was extremely unprofessional and I hope no other customers have to hear anything like that on a causal stroll into a gift shop because the store and the products that I saw in the short time in the store were beautiful, but I would never go back knowing that rude people, like that...

Unfortunately, my wife and I did not have a similar experience with customer service that others did. We traveled 20 minutes out of our way on a rainy disgusting day specifically for a point pleasant sweatshirt for a gift for someone who just bought a house in the area. As we were looking, an extremely disrespectful woman (older, short haired, heavy-set and grumpy) shouted "someone help these people in sweatshirts so they don't keep unfolding everything on the table" loud and nasty enough for us and the entire store to hear. This comment was unnecessary because my wife actually works in retail so she was nicely folding everything back as we looked. Out of principle, we dropped our merchandise and left. This place never receive a penny from me or my family. I will be sure to review and spread my experience in as many places as possible. I recommend...

I wish I didn’t have to leave not even 1 Star!! After seeing a video that went viral on Facebook with the store manager and and a group of African American children I will never visit this store! The old RACIST lady with short hair told them they were NOT welcomed in her store. It’s disgusting how hateful she is.
