Great Lakes Popcorn Co — Attraction in Port Clinton

I would suggest this location if you're as big of a fan of popcorn as I am. There is no shortage of new and interesting flavors available at any one time. Not to mention the different sizes for bags offered. When you visit this location, you'll be greeted by the lovely staff and given serving platter in order to get samples of the available popcorn. At the time I visited, the most popular flavor as suggested by the workers was the vanilla butternut, and I would agree it is very delicious.

Aside from having that, they offer flavors as basic as butter and salt, movie theater butter, and cheddar, to wild flavors like bubblegum, watermelon, and wild walleye(be warned, you'll most likely sneeze from this one). Not only does this location have ready-made popcorn, but they offer popcorn specific salt and popcorn kernels for you to pop at home. We went to Port Clinton for 2 stores, Great Lakes Popcorn being one of the stores. We could not go in without masks on. There was a sign on the front window that stated you could order and pick up your popcorn at the window. We stood outside the window for a few minutes. Had a few staff members look at us and walk away. I had a mask in my car right across the street. I chose not to support that small business as I thought their behavior was rude. We ordered pizza to go from next door and while we were waiting, decided to explore the popcorn shop! We are glad we did. We bought their Island Drizzle and it was so delicious my husband went back in to buy another larger size to take home. Unfortunately he ordered the Island Mix which is also delicious but not the same as the Island Drizzle I was so looking forward to taking home. 😅

Anyway, they have more than 30 flavors and I wish I lived nearby so I could try them all out. 😋
