Love the parks this is attached too. The playground needs love, updating, and real public bathrooms. (Port a pots here are overflowing and not useable.)
If you go down the hill and towards the beach on the promenade you will find much better port-a-pots, but for pregnant women and littles who are potty training this playground is sketchy on access to bathrooms that will be helpful and there isn't a great place to let a little take an outdoor break either. Make a plan, so you can stay a while and enjoy the food trucks, the view, and then go see the epically awesome promenade that runs past...

Did I mention that the playground is atop Munjoy hill? The view of the bay is insane in the evening with aural sunlight dancing on the waves, sails, and seagulls' bellies. It might get a little windy, so come with a sweater. You can park on the right side of the street next to the playground! And food trucks have been spotted on weekends...

We were walking along the lower trail of the Eastern Promenade and so we had to walk up a grassy hill (off of Cutter Ave) to get to the playground. If you stay on the Main Street (eastern promenade) you will access it better. It is a perfect place for locals...
