We did the tour of Casco Bay and had a great trip. We did a tour with New England EcoAdventures out of Kennebunkport last summer and had a wonderful experience so we were excited to see that the company expanded into Portland. On this trip, our Captains John and Taylor were great. They were extremely friendly, personable and had tons of knowledge of the area. They were focused on making sure we were comfortable and truly enjoying ourselves. The boat isn't your basic tour boat. It is small, and low to the water. It is fully open and seats no more than 3 across so everyone has a great view from their seat. You don't have to worry about other passengers pushing in front of you to compete for the best views. The boat can go extremely fast and hops the waves so if you have back or neck restrictions, this probably won't be the tour boat for you. But the boat is also extremely maneuverable and the Captains can change speed, stop, and turn the boat to get the best views so no one misses anything. Casco Bay is beautiful to see from the sea with multiple lighthouses, forts, an abundance of islands and sunbathing seals. I would recommend this tour to anyone of any age who enjoys mild to moderate boat thrills, has no back or neck limitations and is comfortable being out...

I recently had the pleasure of joining New England Eco Adventures for a whale watching tour, and it was an experience I'll never forget. From the moment we boarded the boat, Captain Jack and Sydney made us feel welcome and excited for the adventure ahead.

Captain Jack's extensive knowledge of the area and marine life was immediately evident. His passion for the ocean and its inhabitants made the tour not only educational but incredibly engaging. Sydney was equally fantastic, providing insightful commentary and ensuring everyone on board was comfortable and enjoying themselves.

The highlight, of course, was the whales. Captain Jack's expertise allowed us to get breathtakingly close to these magnificent creatures, all while maintaining a respectful distance. The sight of a whale breaching the water's surface is something I will treasure forever.

If you're looking for an unforgettable, eco-conscious whale watching experience, I can't recommend New England Eco Adventures enough. Captain Jack and Sydney are a dynamic duo who will ensure you have an adventure...

This was our second trip with New England Eco Adventures. We went out of Portland taking the Casco Bay tour. We were greeted by Captain Taylor at the meeting spot and escorted to board the boat for a speed ride and sightseeing. Captain Taylor was joined by Captain Phil and both did an excellent job. They took the time to explain the history of the multiple islands, light houses and wild life. We were lucky enough to see two bald eagles and seals. It was a family trip, including my 10-year-old grandson. He had an absolutely great time riding in the Rib speed boat. If you like a little bit of adventure, some great sightseeing, and 90 minutes of enjoyable time, then you will not be disappointed! Two years ago we did the Eco Adventure to Goat Island in Cape Porpoise and it was also a great time. Thanks to Captain Taylor and Phil for a...

New England EcoAdventures is so much fun! The boats they use are really cool, unique RIBs. The captains and deck hands are very knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend NEEA for oyster farm tours and whale watching excursions. A must visit while in Portland.
