Regal foot spa is one of the best Reflexology clinics I've been to outside of China. Their practitioners are all skilled, so even the ones that don't do deep tissue (which is what I want), they still use good technique. I don't think Jasmine would hire someone who doesn't know what they're doing, or at least it sure appears to be that way because I've probably had about 10 different people work on me there and they have all been skilled. But ... Chinese foot massage isn't for everyone ... so I hope you'll read on ...
When I read bad reviews about Chinese foot massage clinics from people like the previous reviewer, it clearly suggests to me that they lack an understanding of a few basic things: 1) Chinese culture, 2) what a Chinese foot massage experience entails (Zu Liao in my potentially bad Pin Yin), 3) the fact that a Chinese reflexology treatment "is" very often a full body treatment that puts "more focus" on the feet (I've spent time in China ... the sequence of moves tends to follow a similar pattern whether your in China or the US), and 4) yes ... one might indeed be wise and reasonable to tailor their expectations given the amount it costs.
That last point is indeed a relevant aspect of these clinics. Massage is hard work ... very hard work. It's tough on the body, so even when I go to one of these places and get a "so-so" massage. I really can't complain about it ... it just doesn't seem right to me. So tip well people!!!! I tip $10.00 if I'm unhappy with a treatment (which never happens at Regal), $15.00 when it's good, and $20.00 when it's great. To tip less than $10.00 (to me at least) would make me feel cheap. This is after all, America, where a cheap massage usually costs $60.00, and the insurance companies generally reimburse FAR more than that.
And to complain about feeling "rushed out the door"? Again ... this suggests a lack of understanding. Regal always gives customers a "full hour of massage" for $20.00. Some places do this and some don't. Some give an "hour appointment", but the time it takes for the patient to get settled, and the time to put on ones shoes, socks and coat after, is often taken out of the 60 minutes, but Regal gives the patient a full 60 minutes of massage. So keep in mind that the time that you take getting out of the room cuts into their available time to treat other people ... so that $20.00 per hour probably ends up being about $15.00 for them. I can't image what it must feel like to start up one's own massage clinic under those kind of terms and then have someone write a harsh review of their business on Google. Suffice it to say, if they need to hustle me along a bit to get the next patient into the room, I'm happy to help them out and clear the room as quickly as I can. I've been there many times. Yes, they like to keep things timely, but they have never been rude to me.
On the issue of Chinese culture ... well, the wonderful and kind people who run and work at Regal are Chinese immigrants, not American born Chinese, so they sometimes have mannerisms that differ from ours, and yes, they may not always be agreeable to everyone. I know that I've done disagreeable things in China because I didn't realize some aspect of their culture, like tapping my glass on top of someone else's in a restaurant when we said "cheers". Unbeknownst to me at that time, I was signalling to the person that I thought I was "better than them". So, it might be best to give them some leeway, or if Chinese culture is not your thing, go pay an American $60.00-$100.00 per hour. You'll get a nice quiet room with no audible doorbell, and there's a much lower likelihood that someone will cough on you.
I've been going to Regal for at least two years and they get 5 big gold...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this place for years since they were at the old location, and have had mostly great experiences but today was definitely the worst. I called yesterday for a 90min apt, received a text message confirming for a 90min @2pm. I show up at 2 and there were only 2 people already massaging other people and can’t speak English, one of them came out of the massage room to tell me to call the boss. So I do, and boss tells me my appt. Was for 2:30 like I was wrong even tho I have a confirmation text, but I agree to come back @2:30 because I really need a massage (I have been sleeping on the ground for almost a week with my dying dog who just had to be put down, I really needed a nice relaxing massage for my hurting body and heart)
So I come back at 2:30, the guy who I already spoke to had to tell me the boss would be there in 15min through a translator on his phone, puts me in a room and I waited there on a table till almost 3:10 when the boss walks in saying “sorry sorry sorry”. The massage felt very rushed and kind of rough, not the relaxing massage I’ve had many times here. Every time someone walked in the door he would go out to talk to them, he even answered his phone twice and had conversations while still rubbing me with one hand. His phone was also dinging with notifications the whole time. THEN- at the end he tells me he can only do one hour (not the 90min I scheduled) because “3 people came in early”.. uggg, really? You make me wait over an hour and then tell me you can’t give me my full massage because other people came in early??? And I’ve never felt so rushed out of a room before. When I get to the counter he’s all smiles “so sorry! So sorry!” And I’m clearly upset and tell him that “I’m really not happy at all”, show him the text message confirmation, and for a second I thought he was trying to fix things he grabs a card and starts writing and I’m thinking he’s going to give me a gift certificate (which honestly would have made me forgive the situation, I’m a reasonable person, and a manager, I know mix ups happen and I would have given them another chance) but instead he hands me a “buy 10 get one free card with only one punch in it!! I’m like- soooo I need to buy ten more massages to get a free one? And he’s smiling “yes!” I’m flabbergasted at this point, laugh and tell him “I’m definitely not coming back..” Wowzers worst massage experience I’ve ever had. I really liked having the option to come here but this was horrible management, not sure if they changed ownership or what but I won’t be...

I cannot say enough good things about Fuyuan Foot Spa — this place is truly a gem. From the moment you step through the door, you’re met with a calm, clean, and welcoming environment that immediately puts you at ease. The entire staff is exceptionally professional, courteous, and clearly committed to providing the highest quality care.
I’ve experienced several of their services, and every single one has been phenomenal. The full body massage was deeply relaxing and therapeutic — my massage therapist was intuitive and highly skilled, working out knots and tension I didn’t even know I had. The foot reflexology treatment was equally impressive, not just soothing but also energizing. They really understand how to target pressure points to improve overall well-being, and you leave feeling like you’re walking on clouds.
One of the highlights for me was their cupping therapy. It was done with great care and precision, and it made such a noticeable difference in my muscle tension and circulation. If you’ve never tried cupping, I highly recommend it here — it’s a safe, effective, and healing experience in the hands of professionals who truly know what they’re doing.
