So, I received a new folding bike at home. But in spite of their bike maint. course a couple of yrs. ago, I couldn't recall how to adjust the calipers so they weren't touching the tires. I called, offered to pay someone there to show me how to adjust the calipers, and they refused. She said they don't do that, they could do it for me. Read morePortland Gear Hub is amazing! I have a bike that I ride occasionally, but I know practically nothing about basic maintenance and repair. I've dropped in twice with a tire issue and a seat adjustment gone horribly wrong, and the staff were wonderfully helpful and patient. They speedily fixed the issues at a reasonable cost. Read moreI can't recommend Portland Gear Hub enough - they did a complete overhaul of my uncle's road bike for me and it came out better than I could have imagined. This was a multi-part project with disassembly and prep for the paint shop (Paragon Powder Coating in S. Portland), upgrading/swapping out parts, and complete re-assembly. I am so impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, and overall enthusiasm for this project every step of the way. Gear Hub will certainly remain my bike shop for all my future bike needs. Thank you to Brian, Ainsley, Digory, and the rest of the...
