Poway Community Swim Center — Local services in Poway

Loved the Poway Pool as a kid... brought back a lot of nostalgia.

Was super dissatisfied that we couldn't go in the deep end (this part was understandable bc of lifeguard limitations) or play with swim toys when we were the only people in that area. Asked if we can get a kickboard to play w in the shallow area as my daughter cannot fully swim and was told those were only for the lanes.

None of this was mentioned when we were charged full price to enter.

Would have been cool to let us play w the pool toys until someone else came in that section... which no one ever did. Diving sticks and these toys encourage my daughter to grown her confidence underwater and make her a...

Literally 40 mins before my kids' scheduled birthday party was about to start at this place, they called and canceled because of some chemical issue in the water. Funnily enough, they say we can schedule it for some other day at No charge (oblivious to the fact that there is lots that goes into a party) . I had to scramble, look for alternate locations, inform all my guests about new change of location, etc just because of terrible operations management at the pool. Luckily, I was able to find another pool location but I am writing this so people are aware that such thing can happen at this place and you might not...

hours often differ from the ones staff gives you in comparison to the ones listed on the site.... why can't this pool be open at reasonable hours from monday - friday at like 6am for people who only have that time to fit it into their schedule.... as far is the pool itself it's a very nice pool and i love swimming there... only complaint is the water is way to warm; it needs to get back down to 77, 78... right around there. good staff always accommodating and overall...
