XO NAILS & SPA LLC PRATTVILLE — Local services in Prattville

I have been going here for years and loved Austin and Belle! They did an amazing job! But the store was recently changed to new owners and I only went once and had a bad experience. I was pressured multiple times to get extra services I did not want, they cut my thumb which is now infected, and the nails were far from fantastic. It’s been less than a week and one of the nails is broken. When I called to ask about their policy on that and a see if they’d fix it for free (because I’ve never had a nail break that fast) they were rude and did not listen to me. I will not be returning.

Edit (in response to the “management team”) I would love to discuss further. First, the services that were pushed for were for designs, nothing to do with the health or well being of my nails. Second, my thumb was cut whether the technician remembers or not. The cuticle on that thumb, while no longer infected, is still noticeably damaged. Third, the nail that broke was the only one that was fully replaced, not just a fill in. While all 9 other nails were fill ins, the one that broke was completely redone. I got the best pedicure of my LIFE today! We’re visiting relatives and I decided to get my long overdue pedicure fixed up on a whim. I walked in and the staff were SO sweet and excited to see me. The salon was empty, but I’m confident the service would have been just as friendly and welcoming if they had a line out the door (which they should!).

Hanna took such good care of me. She could tell immediately that my big toes were ingrown, and she took the time to carefully extract everything and make them feel so much better. The nail polish selection was beautiful and I was able to choose from a folder while enjoying my pedicure instead of looking through a wall of half-dried-out polishes like most other places. The pricing was reasonable, but the service really brought it home. They deserve all of the praise! I wish I lived here so I could make it my default salon! Thank you thank you...

Visited bc my regular nail shop was closed for the holiday and when I first got there not only was the lady pushy about the type of pedicure I should get and didn’t want me to get regular white polish but my pedicure costed $75 by itself. I just had my hands done a couple days ago and the guy came over and grabbed my hand without consent and asked me if I wanted to get a fill in. Not okay with my boundaries. $15 add on for French nails is understandable on top of the $40 classic pedicure with acrylic on my big toes, but had an UNKNOWN CHARGE FOR $10 extra that they could not explain to me. The guy claimed it was a “2 layer charge”? I now understand why they were so persistent about which Pedi they wanted me to get, refusing to do my toes white, and asking me to fill my nails on top of the mystery $10 charge.
