If I could give Bill and his team 6 stars I would without question.

My family came over on the high speed ferry from Boston and we were staying at a hotel on the east side of town about 1.5 miles from downtown and were not sure what to do about getting around. Getting a rental car is a hassle as well as parking is inconvenient and expensive. Auto taxi's and pedal taxi's are expensive as that is between $5 to $10 per person for a short trip one way and not always conveniently available.

We were considering renting bikes but were concerned about our 6 and 8 year old children regarding the traffic, pedestrians, and fitness level if they had their own bikes. (P-town and the biking trails are surprisingly hilly). A number of bike rental places in P-town have electric bikes but most if not all had only single seated bikes. We ended up having lunch at Liz's (after a $25 cab ride) and saw P-town Bikes had out front a Trek Fetch. This is an electric bike that can carry two children that has a padded seat, foot well panniers, and a wrap around safety bar. When we saw that bike out front angels started singing in our ears and we immediately went into Bill's shop to inquire about rentals. The pricing was competitive and when we did the quick math (compounded with the level of freedom this would provide) it was a no brainer. We rented the Fetch for myself (and our two kids whom are approx. 50 lbs, and 60 lbs), and a single electric bike with a basket for my wife, helmets and locks were included. We suddenly had the entire P-town peninsula at our fingertips as the electric bikes enabled us to easily travel between 15 and 20 mph cruising speed. Combined with the 175 lbs. cargo carrying capacity of the bike allowed us to move around almost as fast as a car (if desired) with the convenience of parking a bicycle. We were able to easily ride anywhere we wanted to go as well as out to Race Point beach using the bike paths. My kids loved it and were sticking their arms up shouting with glee that it was like being a on a roller coaster (when we were going top speed).

The thing that really makes this 6 stars is the level of service Bill and his team provided to us beyond the use of the bikes. From check in to check out everything was handled with courtesy and professionalism. In addition to this the battery on my bike was not fully charged (about 3/4 full) at time of rental and Bill said to check in around 5 pm to get a fully charged battery swap. When we checked in at 5 pm the replacement battery swap out did not fit as desired, so Bill let me take the charger for the bike back to our hotel. I was able to charge the battery later that evening so that I had a full charge the next day for the remainder of our rental. For our last day we had some frustrating logistical challenges between maximizing our use and returning the bikes before our ferry departure at 3 PM, our hotel check out at 10 AM, and where to put our bags. After speaking with Bill he said that he would be happy to hold our luggage for us for the morning so I did a quick run on the bike to drop off our luggage and back to our hotel (on turbo mode covering 3.6 miles in under 12 minutes with 100 lbs. of luggage), we then spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon biking out to Race Point beach and spending a couple hours before returning the bikes. After returning the bikes a member of Bill's team drove our family and luggage down to the ferry terminal to catch our ferry...I mean what bike rental shop would do that for a customer?!

Bill and his team turned our entire weekend around from an "oh wow, how do we deal with this..." to "Renting bikes from Ptown Bikes made the entire experience!"

Sincerely, The...

Ptown Bikes is not just the best bike store I've ever worked with (although it definitely is!), it is also one of the best business establishments anywhere that I have ever worked with. I've been using them for my biking needs for about fifteen years -- for tune ups, repairs, accessories and now a new bike sale. They treat every customer in the shop as if they are family -- they truly care about their customers' experiences. They are attentive, incredibly efficient, knowledgeable/experienced, they answer every question you might have and share answers to questions that you might not know to ask. They are super friendly and very fun to work with. I just purchased a new electric bike from them. As part of the process, I test rode numerous different bikes to find the one that best suits my needs and preferences, and they were wonderfully patient and helpful. After I selected my bike they jumped online with me to find the perfect accessories to complete my package. I HIGHLY recommend this store whether you are renting, buying, a new bike owner or an experienced biker. Their service is...

If you’re in Provincetown, MA, and looking to explore the area on two wheels, PTown Bikes is the place to go! We knew we wanted electric bikes, and this shop exceeded our expectations.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They helped us choose the perfect electric bikes for our adventure and ensured we were comfortable before heading out. The rental included helmets and locks for parking along the way.

The bikes were in excellent condition, making our ride along the stunning coastline a breeze. The shop also provided helpful tips on the best routes to take, ensuring we didn’t miss any of the beautiful sights.

What truly sets this place apart is the hassle-free 24/7 return process. We simply dropped off the bikes at our convenience, which made our experience even smoother. If you’re looking for an easy and enjoyable way to see Provincetown, this bike rental shop is a must-visit. I highly...

PTOWN bikes provided AWESOME customer service - 4 of us rented electric bikes and they had them ready for us within 15 minutes of checking in. They happily changed our battery if it got down to 40-30 percent- we just stopped by! The return process was simple. The E-BIKES were like brand new and did not disappoint us while riding through the hilly dunes.. I highly recommend them and they will have my business when I am back in town. - Ben and Jack -Boston and Rob and Leanne- Texas-
