If you expect a customer to move product to the front of the store because they have measured in cut it than the person at the register [employee] should not make the customer go retrieve another big piece of wood. I would recommend. A !!!book A SMART TOOL FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES AND PAYING CUSTOMERS Having [(Barcodes BOOK])))))))) Allows EVERYONE To leave the store stress free. In case you were understanding misunderstanding what a barcode book is, it's a book that you can just print out everyday of bar co be scanned for the item that is missing tiny little barconce that should be placed. On a item not on a package for the ease of handicapped people or stressed out, people who are tired of having to run back or be told that the picture they brought of the item they are buying is not what they have in front of them because You're employees Have no clue what an item is in front of them at all. do not know the difference between pine or oak. the prices of large lumber or other items have a small ticket scanning code. That could be cut off or just not on said items. If you do not want to train your employees to know what is what. Than At least provide your You're employees with a book of barcodes when they are working the Register!!!!! then please. It's simple Very simple.
As my woodchop teacher would say, keep it simple stupid
My biggest issue is that if I lose a receipt or do not have my My ID why do I need an ID to get store credit period why do I need to pay with a credit card period why if I need a different size in the box has never been open? Can I not openly exchange it for the exact same item I've just paid for. I cannot understand why a person would be treated. When using my passport card I was tonight They would not take it services. I am no thief, do I exchange items a lot? Yes, do I make mistakes a lot? Yes period period I'm redoing my house on my own. I've never done any of these things. I've been trying to do, but I'm doing it. I have a lot of items that you will not take Rap for me and I have walked home crying because I do not drive. And because you are stealing money from me. By not taking your items back that i've paid for cash. It's a shame. But you're stealing from me you're customer. I would like to be able to To bring back these items that I can't use. Because I bought too much or the wrong size. Just one loose receipts, yes, they do. Do you steal from me? Yes, you do, and I can't imagine how many more people are in the same boat as me. Steelers you stole from me you stole my money. They passed on. It passed a law where you can return and use any coupon or gift card? No matter what, even if it's expired but I need an ID to exchange items that I've paid for by cash. You guys are thieves? I would never let anyone buy anything from your store home. Depot does nothing but steal. Home depot steals home depot steals home...
Read moreIt's still hard to find someone in the hardware to cut rope. Today I went in to get a 3ft of 1" natural fiber rope. 3 times they called someone. Findlay the older lady with a white hard hat comes into the aisle helps another person and then walks away so I politely call her that I needed help with the rope she rolled her eyes and asked. Which rope do you need? I said I needed the one on top. With an attitude. Says I will have to go get a ladder. Then she brings down the rope asks if I could help her pull it to measure a little bit of the rope sagged grabs it out of my hands. Very rudely goes on the floor and says I will do it myself. Then she proceeds to cut the rope with the burn tool they have for the synthetic ropes. Of course the natural rope fiber will smell like smoke and started to burn a little. She was struggling with it on the ladder and with an attitude. Said I have to go get something to cut it while the rope is still smoking on the floor. So I jokingly said is it going to catch on fire and she replied with a stronger attitude tone. I don't know sir. So she went to find something to cut it with and it rope was on the floor still smoking. I walked away completely because I was in my father-in-law's car and I did not want the car to smell like burnt rope. So for that reason of the poor attitude I will never go back to that Home Depot. There are three others near me but I chose to go to that one because it's smaller and has what I need most of the time. But with the older lady and attitude, why should I go back to somewhere where they can't have a sense of humor and a work ethics and have your tools in your little apron. No measuring tape, no cutting tool. Had to go to the other aisle to get a measuring tape and a cutting tool. So that means you were not prepared for your job when...

Shout out to Home Depot employees Marilyn and Delmariay for making my visit a great one!
On 3/23/22 I stopped at the Broadview, IL Home Depot and itâs always a totally different climate, vibe, and experience in comparison to the 87th Street location.
I went there specifically to purchase two inch drywall screws and I left there with my screws and, with a six piece combo. No, not a meal, but a six piece Ryobi Combo Tool set all in one boxđ! (Itâs the little things)
The employee that took the time to listen to my needs also suggested that it would be in my best interest to purchase the Ryobi six piece because it was more cost effective, was a âseasonedâ female named Marilyn.
Without hesitation, Marilyn stopped what she was doing and she literally laid down on the dirty floor to pull the Ryobi Combo Tool box out then she placed it in my cart. The box is not light but she lifted it so effortlessly with no complaints. Marilyn then walked with me to get the drywall screws and we chatted along the way to the register. I thanked her and I told her that I would write a review for her and she smiled and thanked me. Marilyn was very knowledgeable, and she had a warm and pleasant disposition.
Meanwhile, my tax exempt wasnât applied to my items so Delmariay âDelâ stopped to assist the cashier and we walked to the customer service desk where he credited my account. There was an alarm tag on the box and he apologized as he removed the tag. He was also very pleasant and apologetic for the âinconvenienceâ when it wasnât a big deal to me.
Both Marilyn and Del were very professional and accommodating.
Itâs a good feeling to leave Home Depot feeling like you matter and for me to receive excellent customer service is the icing...
