This is by far the worst store I've used. I've been purchasing furniture from Aaron's for about 5 years now. I've bought a couch and love seat set, recliner, 5 piece bedroom set, so freezer, and a Chromebook through Aaron's. I have primarily used the site in Canon City while I was living there and briefly the store on South Acdemy in Colorado Springs. I haven't even received my furniture yet and am having nothing but problems. I'm contemplating canceling the entire order.
First, I went to this Aaron's to update my information and make it my new site since I just moved to Pueblo. They had me fill out a whole new application on paper. Not a big deal. I did it, as I did when I switched to the store in Colorado Springs almost a year earlier. Seems a bit ridiculous as I'm already in the system and am currently paying on an item, but ok. So I decide to look at another bedroom set and a new TV. I find what I want and talk to one of the representatives about setting it all up. I don't remember the representative's name, but she was very friendly and nice to work with.
Now, I've been waiting on the items from my order for over 2 weeks. My order didn't come in the first week, which was difficult but understandable. Then my order didn't come in on the day they said it would on the second week. I've had to call Aaron's every time to check in on the status of my order instead of them reaching out to me to let me know. They never even called to set up a delivery time. I've had to call them every time. The lack of communication is astounding.
To top everything off, they said they can't find my file in the system, so they had me fill out an online application again last night. The online application was fast and easy enough to complete, but it didn't allow me to enter my additional income. Now, they're saying that with the only income I listed, I can't afford to get both items I selected and had ordered. But if they were to look at how much money i spent shopping at Aaron's and everything I've bought and how I've never missed a payment.... But I still don't qualify and can't get the bedroom set and the TV, even with my take home income being more than sufficient if you add both of my incomes.
Also, my headboard for my new bedroom set still didn't come in with everything else, which I'm still waiting to have delivered. So my bed is just going to be resting on the flimsy frame without the additional support of the headrest that is supposed to attach to the frame. And I'm told that the delivery driver is basically going to drop the stuff off at my door and not help bring the furniture in or help set it up, which I don't have help as I live alone, and means I have to carry heavy dressers and chests upstairs by myself without a dolly 1 piece at a time while all the rest of my furniture sits outside waiting to get stolen or rained on while I'm moving all this stuff in by myself and assembling it.
This store is a joke. I'm contemplating calling off the order and going back to Rent-A-Center. This is the worst store with the worst communication and management...
   Read morePaid over 1300 dollars for a 300 dollar used POS laptop. I had trouble with it overheating from the day I got it finally had to take it into be repaired, I was told on the phone it was fixed hurried in to pick it up and pay it off immediately. As soon as I paid it off they informed they wouldn't fix it because the problem was from water damage even though I know for a fact I was the only one on it and there was no water damage while it was in my procession. You would think since I way overpaid for it they would fix it without question regardless since we had also purchased 2 other high priced items from them but nope. The manager Dennis I believe made it very clear they got their money and didnt give a rats ass about who broke it unless I was going to spend a small fortune on a cheap computer I already got screwed on price wise. I am a firm believer what comes around goes around and hope I save someone else the money and frustration I went through by writing this review. Please go rent a center at least they back their products and value customer satisfaction. I am far from done with them the BBB was created to protect consumers from bad businesses like this. i hope I save just one person from going through the hell we did by telling our story. I very well may have to eat that 1300 but I'll do everything in my power to warn everyone I can about Aaron's. Like I said if it stops just one person from going through what we did it makes all the money we lost easier to swallow. In a day of so many ways to out shady businesses and be heard by thousands like this which I will continue to use all it was a really dumb move on their part. Wish there was a zero star rating because 1 is way to nice.BTW when I took the computer in to get it fixed I was informed the make and model of computer I had was cheaply made, undermanufatured and known for frying the hard drive fairly quickly which is the exact problem I had and it turns out it costs more to replace the hard drive then the computer is worth but it's my fault??    Read moreWhen you've been an on and off customer for over 40 years, husband in media so a lot of temporary until furniture arrived, you deserve a VIP feeling. Over the last year I have rented several items. I'm here temporarily as well. One is paid off in full on my next mid month payment. I went in yesterday to look at a television on sale. Found out I had to actually reapply. Fill out the application again. Please understand I still have several items that are making monthly payments .What excuse me? I'm not sure why. I have proven to you that my credit is worthy by making my payments. What I was going to purchase is less than the payment that I am moving out of. The idea of having me sit down to refill out an application is absurd and I find it quite insulting. If you've been a client of a company for awhile, or even just a year, and completed what you said you would complete, that in itself should make a VIP. Not someone that they have to recheck. I'm so far under my credit budget for you all anyway. It was a complete slap in the face yesterday. And that occurred after I was told payoff was 2 away. Not one. Evidently my payment on the 31st. had not posted. Not my problem! Better to ask before suggesting a lapse n memory or payment.
I would not go here again. I've tried to hang in there... but I just wouldn't do it again. Head over to RAC, at least they're going to treat you like a person. Furniture quality is equal if not better. One of the pieces I am about to pay off is a broken recliner that they would not fix.
