Evil people! I went to Armstrong's today with my husband to get a ring resized ans a bracelet repaired. The salesman thought that my bracelet might be fake so he took it back to be tested. I know that it is real. My husband doesn't buy me costume jewelry, only the real stuff. This was even marked (stamped) 14ct! When he came back, he told my husband and myself that the bracelet was only gold plated and so they could only offer a store credit of $95. It would only cover the rung resize, and the repair to the other. We already knew at this point that Armstrong Jewelry was lying to us. I dont know why the salesman thought that he needed to lie to us, but there it is. I knew that it was real, but we went to K's in the mall. They tested it and said that the diamobds were real, AND that the bracelet was 14c solid gold, not plated! We didn't like their prices so we went to Riddle's Jewelry and they also tested the diamonds and gold and found everything's fine, everything was real. They offered to buy the "Fake " tennis bracelet for $250, but reccomended that we sell it on marketplace as they could only offer less than half of what it was worth as they would need to mark it up to retail. So. We will sell it in the marketplace then we will return to Riddles for any purchase! Please don't shop at Armstrong's Jewelry. They are NOT honest and they treat customers terribly! I do NOT recommend Armstrong's! They have a very loose relationship with the truth! Edit: after response by Armstrong's: By the way Jack, it is Never slanderous to tell the TRUTH! Now why would I lie? I have no reason,...
Read moreI've had gold chain repair done here and the work was very good and reasonable. It is nice that they will clean your rings for free, etc. The staff are nice. However, I brought in a watch to have a mechanism replaced and wasn't really satisfied. They had to send it to a partner in Colorado Springs, which is fine. I approved it and the replacement was going to be more than the watch originally cost. That is fine too. It is a sentimental item and that was my choice. I was a bit surprised when I came to pick up the watch that there was no attempt to clean it at all. The glass bezel had dirt and particles inside and the metal band was clearly in need of simple cleaning which would have been the obvious finishing touch. It was frankly dirty and didn't set well with me. They know how to clean stuff here... so I was just put off by that. The watch was cheap... originally maybe $70 and I paid about $120 to have it repaired. At least they could have cleaned it. They do that with jewelry. I can't take the watch apart by myself to clean the inside of the bezel. It was just...
Read more❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗❗Went in to purchase a diamond ring after just returning a lab grown diamond ring elsewhere. I explicitly told them I wanted a real diamond. Well the first visit the young man led us to believe the diamond was real. Went back in to purchase it and had them put the stone tester to this ring...it was a lab created diamond. Looked at somemore rings. Had them put the stone tester on another ring and the center was true diamond but the side stones were cubic zirconia. Looked at a few more having the tall dark haired man test the stones for me. He acted like this was a big inconvenience and I stated, I am sure you understand why I am having you test them and he came back all rude, no I don't. Really wow!!! They lost a sale and I say to everyone buying from them. CHECK THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE STONES!! Lab created diamonds do not hold the same value as a mined diamond. BUYER BEWARE Spend your money somewhere else. A tell tale sign of deception when a employee becomes annoyed by being asked to test the...
