Employees are rude here and most things are high priced compared to other thrift stores in the area. I understand pueblo is terrible when it comes to people stealing things but the only things you pay for are the food items you carry, you literally lose nothing when other things that are donated free of charge are taken from you and if youre so concerned with people taking things you should worry more about someone with a large shoulder bag walking around rather than me with a small backpack purse. After an employee told me I had to keep my bags (small backpack purse and a diaper bag) at the counter I decided to take them to my car instead because again, I saw another woman with a shoulder bag twice the size of my backpack and im not going to trust your employees to keep personal items in my purse safe. I was about to leave when this same employee went to grab both bags out of my hands that I had to move them out of the way and say I'm taking them to my car (the employee rolled their eyes when i said i was taking them back to my vehicle). When I came back I noticed a different employee watching my family the entire time we were looking for a couch up until the point we got to the cashier even following us when we went toward the back were the toys are. Again, I understand stealing is a problem but its offensive and irritating to feel like I'm being watched when I've done nothing wrong or even fussing about your bag policy. Not to mention, from other reveiws it seems you don't have enough room for donations so its rediculous that your employees are so paranoid of people stealing. Its always the religious ones though especially when you look different (I dress goth and my family is interracial). We...
Read moreRead moreThe main thing here is if you dont find something to buy for a good price or not, donate to them they give to children who need love that cant be shown from parents, sometime only mom who is in jail or other institutionalized place.now the info on the thrift store part..like a garage sale you never know what your going to find..I've found 925 silver candle holders (8oz raw silver) priced for $5.00 and 1/2 off color sticker day..and I've also seen things that would cost a lot at some retail outlet for the same or more only to investigate inside and find the used item that the one in the box had taken the place of..example for $2.00 a box for 10 led bulbs cost about $20 new cost at the time, containing 8 burnt out incandescents inside or whole house $400 schlage lock set for $15, inside was 3 used kwik-sets painted w/no keys..so kind of like a garage sale where the pricer is not very experienced at understanding the worth of their goods..their cause is far more important than trivial...
The employees are extremely racist towards black people, disrespectful to military veterans and out of uniform police. You can not grab the arm of a young (around high-school age) black girl and say, to prevent YOU from stealing, you have to leave your bag at the cash register. One of the employees came up to me aggressively saying, "hey! You need to leave your backpack at the cash register" while reaching for my backpack that has multiple police patches with big letters. When my female veteran friend confronted or asked questions about why the employees are being aggressive towards customers and why is it not ok for a young black female to have a small bag but its completely fine for a white women to have a large bag? One of the male employees got in my friends face (female army veteran) with his right fist raised, yelling "if you dont like it, get out". Instead of causing a big issue outside of my district, we left. Do not go here, it is not a safe place to...
