Pueblo City-County Library District - Rawlings (Main) Branch — Attraction in Pueblo

I love to go here and spend hours on end reading the backs/descriptions of hundreds of books some times before I choose a few to take home with me to read through. I enjoy the experience of going to the events that they hold here especially in the summer the have a lot of different things going on at this library during the summer time. Some are really mostly for kids or families, but there are lots for just everyone who what's to come. Then there are ones that are closed events you only get in if your a part of said group. So all in all lots of stuff happening throughout the summer months. Lots of fun to be had lots of exciting projects or people to meet here, and of course a amazing amount of good books to explore and learn from. I'm not one to ever pass on a good book but I always have to remind myself that I can just come back to visit tomorrow if I finish up the few in the day that I check them out. I love to read and having a big library like this one helps me to enjoy even more book on a regular basis.

I was there with my sister and we came in with our dog. The security told us we had to leave. My sister then reached down to pick up our dog but our dog was reluctant to be picked up. The security began to raise his voice at my sister telling her she had to leave "Now". I told the security to not speak to her that way. So then he told both of us we had to leave. I was like, my sister just left the library with our dog, we just want to rent a DVD. He wouldn't let me out of the elevator. I said I was going to call the police and he said that they already called them. I said you can't be serious, we just want a DVD but he said it was too late because we broke the rules. The entire situation escalated so fast I couldn't believe we were being treated so rudely for bringing in a dog that we already agreed to go outside with. I have never experienced a quick trip to the main library go so wrong so quickly. Just wanted to let the world know about this one horrible experience which I still cannot...

They are always understanding about items that are late. The staff is very attentive and helpful. I carry a backpack everywhere I go because it’s more comfortable and they treat me any different which is a stigma that I deal with almost all the time when I go shopping or into stores. I just feel comfortable there and can enjoy the library for what it is intended. Unfortunately, as a paying customer I don’t always feel like my business is valuable and when I do spend I feel rushed out or I am not able to use facilities unless I buy something right away. I guess that’s just how our society is now a days. Customer service can be rude and on their phones and don’t have to answer to supervisors or they just don’t care it’s a job to them and we are just dollar signs. But I guarantee when I have a good experience even just a decent one I make the time to give them my feedback because that’s how much it...
