I'll start with quality of baked goods is some of, if not the best in town. I badly did NOT want to leave a review but the last 2 visits were plain awful. This comes from ownership down to management and then onto all employees. Last time I had a younger girl with a MAJOR attitude call me a name, roll her eyes, and then mocked my order and laughed at me for absolutely no reason and I left baffled and frustrated. This last time I google the place, online and website says "OPEN" so I drive across town to get place and order. Walk up and door is locked. I call and a man answered and when I asked why they were closed but their site and googling the business both said "OPEN". He then stated very arrogantly "WE are allowed to go on vacation and have been doing so since the 70's and our true customers know this"... I have came many times before over the years and didn't know this, but okay. Simply and friendly suggested maybe just an update of this news and closure on your site and online so others like myself don't waste the time and gas when you say you are open. I even tried to compliment the donuts themselves but he talked over me rudely hearing no constructive feedback. Very disappointing that from a high level you cannot provide the most BASIC polite and friendly customer service, especiallywhen yiu are clearlyin the wrong. Just an honest feedback from multiple visits with poor...
Read moreI've had a few things from here, it's not bad (it's "meh" good) but this is more about a work experience I know of. They started my friend on the busiest day while they're understaffed when shes not much of a baker so no prior knowledge to go on, the person who was supposed to train her told her "this is the cash register, I'm sure you'll figure it out. Oh it's time for my lunch, bye", gave her zero training on sorting, stocking or labeling so they shamed her a bit for that, when she asked to be put in the back (so her mistakes weren't as costly) they said nope we need everyone up front, and finally when they fired her told her, "maybe you should work somewhere you just need to smile so if you mess up it's not a big deal" all before the 2nd half of her shift. Im sure lots of people love their treats, but the way they set her up to fail and how they handle training is what really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The only person who actually helped was the baker on duty, and she had a million other things to do while showing her the ropes, so thanks that one person in the entirety of the staff. They're big enough that 2 less customers won't make...
Read moreThis is going to be a long one. My experience with this bakery over the last few years has been nothing but negative. This is no longer the bakery of my childhood, nor my mother's. On Wednesday I called in an order of 10 dozen cookies to be picked up Saturday for a funeral. At time of pickup I walked in, no waiting I was the only one and it took them about 10 minutes to acknowledge my presence. I was asked "what do I want". I told the woman I was there for a pick up order. She was gone about another 10 minutes and comes out with my order, a partial order. She informs me "we only had 6 dozen, is that okay?". Umm no, it is not. That is why I ordered 4days in advance. I was so angry as this is not the first time. Once I ordered several dozen potato rolls for a picnic that day. I picked them up to find them all frozen solid!. I'm disgusted with this business and very disappointed. Their customer service and quality control is well below par. For over 50yrs we have been going here. I am saddened to say that ended yesterday for...
