The only reason there are 2 stars and not 5 is solely because of the event coordination and the events direction. We just had our wedding there on July 3rd, and while the building and food were amazingly beautiful, perfect and everything we wanted, the event coordination was substandard at best, in my opinion. We were locked out of the reception hall on our wedding day, the events director nor any events staff were present the day of the wedding or during the rehearsal the day before. They also weren't there for a scheduled rehearsal. Karen "Popcorn" --the events director- was not present like she said she would be, I had to repeatedly call her to try and get appointments after booking to schedule the rehearsal follow up appointments and wasn't able to do so until the week before the wedding. The worst part was showing up, on my wedding day, locked out of the reception hall, my vendors had been there waiting also locked out, luckily a kitchen door was open on the other side of the depot and person in the kitchen came and let us in. Very disappointing in the coordination, but like I said the food and venue are fabulous, I just cannot honestly recommend this venue to anyone due to the poor service from the...
Read moreWe held our annual company holiday party here and it was very nice. As a member of the party planning committee I know that there were some things that we expected and weren't very happy with but I expect it was probably due to not enough staff. Plates weren't cleared in a timely manner and in some cases at all. At some point a beer bottle had gotten broken and no one ever brought a broom to finish sweeping up the little pieces Overall we loved the venue. It is decorated just gorgeous for the holidays and Popcorn (yes that's her name lol) is wonderful to work with and does everything she can to accommodate our wants and needs. The food was good, though the execution of the buffet line didn't go as we had hoped. I would definitely recommend this venue...
Read moreIt is always a pleasure to visit the Pueblo Union Depot. This location has beautiful, original wood ceilings, original tile, and some post 1921 flood restoration. This train station turned gathering venue has an air of both nostalgia and romance. The main hall makes you long for the days of fedoras and pocket watches. If you don't have a function to attend at this location and have never had the opportunity to engage this monument make the time to appreciate and enjoy...
