The Pueblo Heritage Museum of course highlights the Pueblo era and area. It shares some things in common with the Penrose Heritage Museum, in Colorado Springs, opposite from the Broadmoor Hotel, which we also highly recommend (see my review on it). It has a surprising variety of fascinating objects: Horse carriages, saddles, many, many inventive tools, living conditions, the great flood of Pueblo, Colorado. Also the greatest collection of ancient to modern telephones I have ever seen. It was a history lesson and education of the ingenuity of people before mass production. It is better than the El Pueblo History Museum. It costs $6 per person, but well worth it. Spend as much time as you can and soak in the heritage and collections of Pueblo, Colorado. A City that may have become the capital or at least larger than Colorado Springs, if it were not for the most destructive flood on June 3, 1921. Did you know, that Pueblo had an all black baseball team: "The Pueblo Blues became the first black team in Colorado when they first took the field in 1884". It was also the melting pot of the west, due to the production of steel, rivaling the rest of USA steel makers. We are hoping the mixture of cultures unite and bring joy to all of Pueblo's people. May the Pueblo Heritage Museum contribute to that, and towards the education of history and ingenuity. We very highly recommend it! (Google...
Read moreI brought a group of 30 local high school students here to learn about the rich history and culture of their home. The Museum did not disappoint! Emily was our tour guide, and she was very professional and engaging for our students. The museum itself had way more exhibits than I ever imagined, and covered aspects of Pueblo's history that we had never even heard of! After the tour, we participated in the Legacy Trunk activity, which was a captivating and meaningful exploration of Colorado Native American culture. This is a perfect place to bring groups of all ages, and for anybody who has interest in...
Read moreHad one of the most horrible experiences here. Rented the hall for a baby shower just to find out they double booked us with another party. Both the people we talked to Lexi and Margaret just said “sorry but there is nothing we can do”. We had 65 people coming for this shower from out of town. We had to rent another hall last minute that was double the price and had to inconvenience all our guests to go the new location last minute. I am not happy with how they handled things and will NEVER recommend or use...
