Do It Best of Wayne — Attraction in Radnor Township

The crew at DIB Hardware Store in Wayne is top notch. There is always someone to help you to find what you are looking for and to answer any questions you may have. It's a small store square footage wise so you'll be amazed at how many different items they carry. The store has been clean and tidy each time I've visited and the inventory is always well organized. The store has a building out back with lumber, plywood (both construction grade and cabinet grade), drywall, insulation and trim molding.

Unlike lots of smaller hardware stores the prices are in line with what you'd pay at a big box home store. They don't carry power tools, but the hand tool selection is well rounded. Many times you'll have a choice of higher quality tools and less expensive brands. You'll also find tools that you won't see at big box stores including special use paint brushes, tap and die sets, etc.

Saving the best for last, the selection of screws and other fasteners is enormous. For anything other than regular drywall screws and the like I won't even bother with large hardware stores, I'll head right to DIB Hardware and get what I need. Best of all, you can buy screws and fasteners in the quantity you need. You don't have to buy a bag of them if you only need one or two screws.

PS If you bring your dog they have treats behind the counter at the registers. Maddie, my golden retriever, heads there as soon as I walk in. I make her wait until it's time to check out. I apologize in advance for any drool she leaves on...

This place is great! Ideal local, neighborhood hardware store. I'm so glad I discovered this little gem, as opposed to the "big boys". Staff is friendly, attentive, and most importantly knowledgeable! Not to mention, you can find them in a second without a treasure map, binoculars and running shoes. Whether you walk in knowing exactly what you need, or simply with a rough idea of a project, you will walk out with what you need to get the job done.

We need to keep local businesses like this alive, otherwise all we will have left is big box stores, where many employees don't know how to change a lightbulb, and Amazon where you need to be a product expert yourself before ordering anything.

Recently had some keys cut here after multiple failed attempts by a self serve kiosk machine. It took them a quarter of the time to cut the keys and it was a quarter of the price of the machine - best of all they got it right the first time and the keys worked perfectly!...

These guys are the best, and every reason why small business can far exceed any service you will ever receive from a big box or online provider. They treated me like a customer they see weekly but it was only my second time visiting their store as I was visiting my daughter who lives in the area. I was needing a 10mm nut driver and they went above and beyond to get me what I needed. I am confident if you patronize this establishment you will not be disappointed.
