Our mid-day treat at Rosalie' s started out shaky when the younger hostess at the door told us in a very condescending tone that with no reservations, she probably wouldn't be able to seat us. Then when she said we would have to be out by a certain time(actually leaving plenty of time to sit and eat) my daughter pulled out her phone and said that there was reservation open in 5 minutes, who they prefer she made a reservation while standing in front of the hostess? By then an older, much more professional and well spoken hostess stepped up and said that wouldn't be necessary and immediately found us a seat. From there everything changed! Then Shainah, our waitress stepped in and took wonderful care of us! She was an exemplary waitress, both attentive, personable and just a plain old fun person who cared about us! Give her a raise and get rid of the young hostess out front! The food was incredible! We started with a glass of champagne to help us celebrate. The Casoncelli and Gnudi, were rich and full of flavor and disappeared very quickly. The Veal Porchetta was done to perfection and had the most wonderful unique taste. And the Bronzino was so tender it melted in your mouth. I didn't want to take a star off because of one nasty hostess-but she did need to be taught some hostess manners if she doesn't want to lose Rosalie business. The rest of the meal was incredible. Now there is so much more we want to go back and try!

This place knows how to do brunch! 🥂The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing. I can’t wait to go back! They made me feel fabulous for my birthday. Best espresso martinis I’ve had in a very long time! The food was exquisite. You can tell the chef(s) feel pride in the decor of the plate which matches the ambiance of the entire layout! It’s the little touches that make the magic really sprinkle. On top of all that, our server Briana was amazing! She was busy but present with our group and made sure to hook my baby up with a little custom dish of single blackberries (because children lol). I would definitely recommend and request for her services in the future! She made the experience more celebratory and even shared this little card with a restaurant scratch off in it. I haven’t opened it yet but the gesture alone was icing on the cake. I wanted to come here to try the tiramisu which was not my favorite (very whipped cream tasting - I like mine to have a little more espresso flavor) but the cake was beautifully layered. They also accommodated my grandmother by bringing out her store purchased cake with candles for me.🎂 Absolutely worth every dollar spent!

Had a 4:30 reservation on Saturday. We came to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted right away with waters and then our server disappeared for 15 mins. We had to flag someone down to find out her. For our first time being there, it was an AWFUL first impression. The waiter said they had a pre-shift meeting. But I highly doubt you would require your servers to be off the floor for that long…when they have tables? It took 20 mins to get a drink from the time was sat down and we were one of 2 tables in the dining room at the time besides the bar. That is a huge pet peeve of mine, and I have been in the hospitality industry for 16 years. Not a great start for coming to celebrate our anniversary. I did voice my concern to the waitress and I must say, she handled it well and had great service recovery. She was very pleasant. The food was incredible. We licked every plate clean. The drinks were yummy and aside from our 1st round of drinks, everything came out in a timely fashion. We didn’t do dessert, but we finished the night with a complimentary toast of champagne. It was a wonderful touch and a perfect way to end the night. We will be back!!

Worst dining experience I’ve ever had.

Two other couples, plus my wife and I were seated in the enclosed porch area of the restaurant- the porch was closed in by plastic flaps. There was a propane heater that started smoking as soon as we sat down and staff had to turn it off. It got very cold very quickly- was below freezing outside last night.

The table behind us (which was not next to the window) complained about the smell from the smoke and insisted they open the flap next to our table, prop the door open, and turn the fans on- and of course it got bitterly cold.

A staff member came to their table and apologized and offered to comp them all dessert. The next table over complained about the heat as well- so the manager put a tall floor heater in between their tables. The last table surrounding us complained and the GM gave them all sorts of special treatment.

We decided we weren’t going to be “those people” and complain- so we just delt with the conditions- even though everyone around us was receiving special treatment. No one ever came to apologize to our table or anything. So- we ordered our dinner and drinks. Food was ok- nothing to write home about. Most of the food was cold because of the temperature on the porch.

Then we’re waiting for at least 30mins for our desert and coffee after ordering- almost long enough that we debated just leaving ( 3 coffee’s and one piece of cheesecake). One couple had to leave before the coffees came so there were just 4 of us at 6 top table. One of us ordered an Irish coffee and when it came out the waitress apologized that they didn’t have any cream- usually a staple in a restaurant.

We eat dessert and are finishing coffee- they come with the bill and we pay. As soon as we get our card back the GM comes over and asks us to leave or move tables because their next reservation is here- we weren’t even done eating desert and coffee! We were not sitting at some kind of special table, and there were plenty other tables of equal or greater size available. They finally got the propane heater working and we were thawing out and then insist we leave or move?

Our jaws hit the floor and we just laughed- we would have been out of there so much earlier if we weren’t waiting for food and drinks all night- reservation was for 5- were were seated at 5:20 and they asked us to leave by 7:30.

I then asked the GM ( John) to talk privately when we were leaving- which I have never done. The GM was barely taking responsibility, saying that we should’ve moved tables. I asked him for his name and he gave me a snarky remark that he’d give me his card with his full name. I’ve never been so disrespected while dining. GM also admitted that he should have comped us all a round of drinks- but didn’t actually do it.

In all we ordered plenty of apps, main courses, sides, drinks, and coffee- for three couples who have little kids and don’t get out much. This was especially disappointing given the reputation Roaslie has. We were very excited for the night and it’s a shame this was the experience...

If I could give this business 0 stars based on our experience last night, I would. I have never written a negative review because running a business is difficult but feel compelled to given the way I was treated. I have had celiac for 12 years and was going to be attending a dinner there so I called ahead of time to ask about options. The host went through most of the menu and suggested accommodations they could make and told me it wouldn’t be a problem. I’ve eaten at a ton of Italian places with celiac, it’s 2023. Let’s not forget, celiac is a disease, not a lifestyle choice.

When I arrived my interactions with the server were nothing but condescending, rude, and frankly appalling. When I asked about gluten free options, the waiter literally laughed and said “Oh gluten free? You’re at an Italian restaurant. This is definitely the wrong place for you. What do you expect?” He also said “we don’t do substitutions and we are not going to accommodate for gluten free, we don’t need to. The chefs aren’t going to want to change anything so that’s not going to happen.” Wow. I ended up ordering the only salad he said they could make gf, which was dressing, cheese and lettuce. I asked very politely if they could put protein on it, he said “absolutely not, we don’t do that here like I said. We have no reason to make any changes to our menu” After the meal was over, he said “would anyone like dessert? Oh yeah, not you since that’ll be a problem for you.”

These interactions are completely unacceptable and speak volumes about how the overall business is run. I literally felt shamed for having celiac disease and it totally ruined the experience. An upscale establishment, especially at these price points, should be more than happy to make accommodations for those with food allergies which are super common. Even Chipotle can make accommodations with...

I just ate here tonight, I had been really excited to try this restaurant. We ordered the cheese plate to start. It was dropped off without any explanation of what the three cheeses were. It was the saddest looking cheese plate I've ever seen. Barely any bread and about 1/2 a teaspoon of honey and jam smeared on the plate, to add insult to injury the plastic was left on one of the cheeses. Thankfully I spotted it and picked it off before we ate it. The gnocchi was not actually gnocchi and not fully cooked, it was a square of some type of polenta substance that needed salt and had no seasoning. When the branzino arrived, it was overcooked, clearly charred and the olives thrown about the plate made for strange, messy plating. Although there were hiccups I was okay up until this point, I quickly learned this is the type of place you go just to be seen, not for the average food, and that's fine, places like this can still be fun. I wouldn't have been unhappy but the service was the worst part of this ordeal. We sat outside, the server was completely aloof, no idea what his name was, he never said. He spoke to us a total of three times, never asked how the food was, he clearly was irritated at having to be at work and couldn'thave been more unfriendly. He dropped off the check and couldn't get away fast enough, not sure what happened there, he didn't speak to us enough to be able to tell. Needless to say I won't be returning to...
