The River at Rancho Mirage — Attraction in Rancho Mirage

I am writing to you because the links on the web sight do not seem to work. I have made at lease two visits to The River at Rancho Mirage in recent weeks and have found that the water quality of the body of water surrounding the facility is in some need of some serious maintenance. I can understand that if a major pipe breaks, as in the most recent past, you can have an unfortunate period of down time. However, I find, that today, the water severely cloudy or turbid. That, I find, is totally unacceptable considering that it is not a body of water being used by the public in which to bathe. It seems to me that the filtration system is in need of some serious work... major cleaning of the filters ... replacement of the current filtration system and/or the sanitation system used. Five years ago I wrote a review of this shopping mall. Over the past five years not a thing has changed regarding this water feature around and within the mall complex. The water feature has had severely cloudy water for all of those five years. The filter(s) on this body of water either need to be replaced with adequately sized filters or they need to be dismantled and thoroughly cleaned. The stones and other features within the body of water have a heavy calcium layer on their surfaces. This indicates too that the water balance is totally out of balance revealing that the person or persons or company who maintains this body of water does not have a clue on how to maintain water clarity and chemical balance which would eliminate what we are viewing when we navigate the mall complex. It's a total sorry mess. This condition reflects back to the ownership who have no regard to the standards necessary to maintain a 2, 3 , or 4 star quality appearance for the property in which they are responsible....

I didn't have the best experience visiting this location. We arrived just before 7:30 p.m.. they took several minutes before seating us. Then the waitress came and said she would be right over but took another 10 plus minutes before she came back to even get our drinks. I should have left at that point without even getting the drinks but I really wanted to try the food. The waitress finally came to take our order. After our order was taken they turned off the misters in the outside patio and that dramatically increased the temperature. I didn't like that at all we felt like second class guess when they turn off the misters and left us to be uncomfortable. Then the server brought the food out and his mask was under his chin instead of covering his mouth and nose. Again very unprofessional during these times of covet 19. I loved the way the food was prepared it was very soft and tender and the ribs fell off the bone. That was awesome I did not like the fact that they put the sauce on the ribs because I did not like their barbecue sauce it is not a traditional barbecue sauce. It tasted as though it had blueberries in it and was very sweet I don't like that type of barbecue sauce. I would have rather they serve it dry and give you four to five different...

Omg so disapointed of what the river has become over the years. I think its at its worst its ever been.. it sucks big time.YES it looks nice with lights an all... lil rivers around the place....YES the food may be good at some of the restaurants depending yr style an preference .But so crazy dirty everywhere not to mention the bath rooms all so discustting even in the rest.cheesecake factory wow sick their was napkins an toilet paper everywhere even before you enter the restroom you can see them all over the place just sick public areas in other rest.theaters were just as terabale I just can't beleave that there is so much lack of personal to not be able to maintain theses areas clean cause with all these germs everywhere I just think it should be priority knowing how many people come why doesn't any business owner care about it being clean an descent for us customers its like the money has blinded these business to down grade us customers by not keeping the place clean & neat . I will never go back to the river not any time soon that is i rather buy food a d be at my clean home not worddering if what I'm eattinf is clean or not .get me just dirty...
