I love hobby lobby, but when I came to this one it really changed the way I feel about this specific store. First off, staff here are rude and would speak poorly about your child in front of you, or in front of other customers. I came here with my family. ( husband, infant & toddler.) When I say this store is not child friendly, almost as if they hate children. They were judging my toddler for throwing a tantrum, speaking poorly about him to other customers, and even called my husband a bad father. My husband took my child to the car since he was throwing a tantrum while I continued to gather everything I needed from the store, the older lady and younger one at the register had no idea I was my sons mom. The old lady at the cash register was ringing up another customer and said “ wow, bad parent” and the other one ringing me up continued to laugh, and was throwing remarks “ wow somebody is not happy” referring to my toddler who was having a hard time and throwing a tantrum, hence why we decided to take him to the car to calm him down while I checkout. I confronted other lady about what she said, she denied it while other one was just laughing about the situation. I’ve never been in more disgust of a store and people before, the way they were speaking of a child was disturbing, and the way they treat others is horrifying that it is even allowed. I will not be comfortable returning to this store ever again, and if you have children, stay away, they are not child friendly and hate children. If the manager or owner reads this, please take action in your employees behavior. By the reviews and my own experience, it seems like they hate children and that’s very disturbing and hateful. I hope they have the day they...
Read moreAbsolutely a nightmare dealing with this store! Manager can't add! Bottom line. Bought a Christmas tree...got home i was given the wrong tree. Apon returning the Manager Jeannie told me that tree as pictured below had the wrong signage on it. Ok..she says this tree I want is now 259.99. I left and called corporate explained the whole long situation. The next day corporate called me back apologizing for the whole encounter and said the tree is now 259.99 because the tree was mistaken and tagged wrong on the stores end. But the Manager Jeannie would take 25.00 off that price of 259.99. I said Ok..I went back a third time. Jeannie got me the tree and the cashier told me the price with tax 266.67. I said that's not 25.00 off. Jeannie returns to tell me she took the 25.00 off the suggested retail price of 519.99! I said your joking right. Nope! She wasn't joking! I said you can't add. 25.00 off comes to 234.00.. she said that's not the way we do it. The bottom line is i got $4.00 off! That's it! When a manager can't add or refuses you honor the discount they told corporate they would give me the store has a serious problem! The management at this store is horrible and my wife and I who use to go there often won't be returning! Here's an idea for Hobby Lobby... get managers who truly care about customer service and correcting issues. She made no effort in correcting a problem. Her attitude demeanor and treatment of customers has alot to be desired! She is not interested in correcting a mistake or...
Read moreI have only been in a Hobby Lobby once and this was because I was with a group who dragged me along; being that this brand does not provide full health care to women is something I don't agree with. But today I needed an item that I knew they carried, so I held my nose and ventured inside. I walked up to the stock person to inquire where I could find feather boas, and the young man was absolutely charming in how he assisted me. Being that he was obviously LGBTQ, I was pleased to know that Hobby Lobby would not discriminate against him. As I checked out, the sales clerk asked me why I was buying multiple feather boas, wondering if there is another festival coming up? After explaining that they are for my cat to play with, she lit up and we had a very nice conversation. I saw an LGBTQ couple checking out at the next register and was relieved to know this store was a safe place for all. It made me rethink my avoidance of Hobby Lobby, though I will never be OK with their using religion to deny full health care to employees who do not subscribe to their religion. I'll be shopping again...
