Having stayed here for a year I figured it was time to post a review.
Overall the location is very nice. It's across the street from tons of food options and gas stations. Down the road is every kind of store: Target, Walmart, HEB, Academy. Definitely a prime location.
There are several reviews mentioning the staff not being friendly, which I never once found to be the case. Vanessa was incredibly pleasant to deal with and always answered questions. Theresa (hopefully I am spelling that right!) is an absolute sweetheart and I'll definitely miss chatting with her!
The sites were decently sized, and didn't feel cramped with my 35ft trailer. The concrete wasn't perfectly level, which was nice during heavy rain storms.
I would personally say the upcharge for the sites with the canopy aren't worth it. They're nice, but the 25 dollar premium doesn't feel like much of an add for what you are getting.
The lack of, or inconsistent enforcement was noticeable. Some people were washing vehicles and RVs and other folks had flat deck trailers on their sites, while other folks were told No on trailers. Not necessarily a deal breaker, just something that was observed.
While I was a the site, the cost per month did increase by 100/M. The reasoning for this was " we haven't Increased costs since 2022 and with the new addition we have more amenities ( a pool and a pickleball court)". I personally did not use either one, so it feels more as though the cost was increased to pay for the expansion of the park.
Overall the park is nice. It can be noisy by being within close proximity of 77. The cost of the park, compared to other campgrounds in the area is the highest of all them in the area. This park arguably has the best proximity to the city, but you are going to pay a premium for that.
Overall, moving to another campground that is closer and cheaper to my jobsite, I will definitely miss this place.
TLDR; Nice area, nice staff, very expensive for...
Read moreI really liked the concept of this rv park but the execution missed the mark to me. The entrance is super cute with the string lights and the park itself is nice with all the ambient lightning. I liked how the spots are level and completely paved, it made it super quick and easy to set up. It’s conveniently located close to the DFW area and it’s simple to get in and out with a 42’ camper which is always the most important thing to me. I’m giving 3 stars because while I liked some elements of the park, there were a couple things that made it very unenjoyable. The first thing being the speed bumps. As others have said, there are numerous speed bumps, actually the most I’ve ever seen. I understand wanting to make it a safe environment for foot traffic and children, but that comes at the cost of people’s trucks and campers. The amount of speed bumps throws your belongings around like you wouldn’t believe. I personally haven’t experienced so much dishevelement even on 12 hour+ road trips. I think they could get by with shallower and fewer speed bumps and it would make it much smoother to get to your spot while still maintaining the safety. The other thing that made it unenjoyable for me was the front gate. You’re given an access code with your reservation but no matter how many times I typed in the code or how many different ways I put it in, the gate wouldn’t open. This happened around 11:00 p.m. and I couldn’t find an after hours number to call. I wouldn’t have been able to get to my camper for the night except that someone who was staying there saw me stuck and helped me. So overall, it’s a nice place to stay but there are a few things that could have been done differently that would have...
Read moreMy husband and I have stayed and researched many RV resorts around the DFW area and surrounding areas. Northside is by far the nicest and cleanest we have seen. However they are lacking in some amenities, they are currently adding on so Im sure there will be more of a "resort" feel to it. That being said, there are none around that compare. Teresa keeps these grounds so clean and is always an absolute pleasure. You see her all the time, all hours of the day, even weekends and holidays. She always has a smile on her face. You can tell that she truly loves her job and the people that stay on the property. I have to say the same for Stephanie and Josh. To give you an example of the customer service they have done, I contacted Stephanie when my water was frozen during the freezing weather, not realizing they were on vacation. I wasn't sure if it was the park water or my personal water that was the issue. Anyway, later that afternoon Stephanie called me to check on me and make sure we got our water working again. This was absolutely so kind of her to think of me when she is not even here. Another example, my awning broke in the wind and Josh came by and helped me get it secured until my husband was off shift to fix it. The kindness that these people have shown over the time we have been here is just wonderful. If you come through Waxahachie be sure...
