Redondo Beach’s beach is my perfect summertime getaway from the warming temperatures! The Strand south of the Redondo Beach Pier is clean, uncrowded and cool! The beach has the extended end of the Marvin Braude Bike Trail, another great way to see the waterfront, while getting a workout! It’s accessible via the bike path, or public pedestrian paths, such as the Ainsworth Court Staircase. That’s by the parking lot at the south end of Veterans Park. Further south are walkway paths at Sapphire and Topaz Streets and Knob Hill Avenue, between the large apartment and condo buildings along Esplanade. South of the buildings, still along Esplanade, is an open stretch of beach with metered parking, random staircase access and restroom facilities down thru Torrance Beach. So finding a space by Avenue’s A, C, E, I, and G may be helpful with ramps for strollers and supplies. Stairs are located at Av C and between Avenue’s F and G. I don’t mind taking the Esplanade sidewalk over on a weekend day, as it helps to give an overview of the beachfront, before stepping down. Restroom’s are easily spotted, with those distinctive red terracotta...

On the straight level there are shops and Cafes. So if you can...

And I couldn’t believe people were willing to go into the water with the amount of trash in it. I saw a toothpick floating on n the water and i couldn’t pick it up. Too small. Absolutely disgusting. Humans truly need to wake up. How much trash is enough to act? Plastic is already in our drinking water. Now, you can’t even get into the water without seeing plastic and trash....
