Wegman's Nursery — Attraction in Redwood City

Yes they have nice plants, but 1 star for the awful experience I had when I had to return a $15 plant & I had the receipt. I had bought 5 plants and 4 were doing great, no issues, and I had pictures but one was dead. So you would have thought I wanted to return a $10,000 diamond. I didn't even want a refund, just a replacement! I had to talk to about 6 people total over 2 visits- I had to bring in the actual dried up dead plant (pictures were not enough for them I guess)- finally one of the staff inspected it and admitted that this particular plant often has problems etc etc.- then at check out it was sign here since it's a return and do this this and that. It was ridiculous. They couldn't have made us jump thru more hoops if they had tried. It really makes me think that perhaps this is a big issue for them that they have to go out of their way to make a return so difficult for...

8/1/2020 is the first time I visited the nursery and for certain not the last time. I loved the store, the plants and especially the customer service that I received from a young lady, Diana. She was amazing and guided me through a repotting procedure on 1 large snake plant became 5 snake plants. She was very professional but keeping the warm friendly demeanor. She took me to an area of the vitamins for the house plants and introduced me to the expert at the store in that field. He talked to me about the vitamins and the procedure as well. I walked out of Wegman's Nursery with the education that I needed and the confidence. This morning my 5 new plants have no signs of trauma and they look amazing.

I was in desperate need of condolence flowers and all of the florist shop where closed. decided to stop here and look of they had tulips. I walked around and found a beautiful carnation plant. Picked up a beautiful pot by check out. At checkout out I ask the cashier if there was someone who could transplant it in the pot so I could deliver it right away. The staff was very helpful in helping me find a new carnation plant that fit the pot. Although not part of Thier service's, the staff transplanted the flowers into the pot beautifully! Not to mention the prices are very reasonable for quality product. I will definitely be going back soon. Truly the kindest staff I've ever run into! If u could give them 10...
