I had the worst experience ever with Jasmine she was supposed to do my hair exactly the picture that I showed her charged me $184 plus tip had me in the chair for 3 hours didn't come out looking nothing like my hair was supposed to she tried to convince me before I left the shop oh your hair looks beautiful the Peekaboo highlights look nothing like the picture I showed her I called back I talked to Tracy Tracy says I booked you another appointment Jasmine called me to day before my appointment I can't do your hair I don't have the time your hair is not healthy enough blah blah blah blah blah I can give you a partial refund I said no Jasmine I don't even want to refund I want you to fix my hair well I don't have the time your hair is not healthy enough she was just saying that because she's the only one over here doing hair the only one then I talked to Tracy again after she already told me that she booked my appointment with Jasmine to fix it oh well we don't feel comfortable doing your hair we don't want to be responsible your hair is not healthy blah blah blah blah all a lie so I had to go to another place get my hair done which costed me $190 I come back to get my money back which they did give me all my money back all $184 I purchased it on a gift card because I thought it was a one-time deal I didn't have to go through this again but I had to take another $190 in cash and get my hair redone and they wouldn't give me cash they gave me a lousy gift card I don't want to shop here after the way they treated me that was terrible just because she didn't want to fix her mistake which I still was going to tip her she didn't have time so I had to go somewhere else to get my hair done which thank God I did because I found an awesome place that actually did my hair right and again the people here at ulta beauty are very nice they stayed very professional it's just the way they did things was very unprofessional I got pictures before and after my hair and I'm going to take this all the way up because just getting a refund isn't enough it's just not they're still trying to make it seem like I'm in the wrong I'm in the wrong because you didn't do my hair right, so I will take it to her boss to her boss to her boss because this wasn't okay I had interviews and everything and it was a whole wreck like I'm so sad I'm happy about my hair now but it was so unhealthy they said but the other lady at the other place did a fantastic job so how is my hair that unhealthy no they just didn't want to refix their mistake they rather give me my money back and that's just...
Read moreI usually go to this ulta because it is close to work and is the only location with Colourpop. Sometimes the people working there are okay and I get what I need. I'm usually a solo shopper and don't need any help, so it gets annoying when they ask 800 times. Anyway, this time and the last three times I have been there, its been impossible to get help when I needed it. There have been gaggles of girls sitting at the front counter laughing and ignoring anything else in the store or looking out the window because their friends are messing around outside. During these purchases, I was rang up through all of this and then my bag was handed to me without so much as a goodbye. Super rude. Last time I was there without needing help, I was asked if I needed help, I said no thanks, and the girl sat there staring at me like I had kicked her dog. She then turned around and walked off without another word. Today was the last straw. I went in looking for concealer. I asked the nearest staff for recommendations. I asked between two brands, she said the other. She was behind me then, so I asked her how I could figure out the best shade between two. She goes, "um...you swatch it." And walked off. My hands are full, I'm looking for a little direction, and it was not worth any time to her. I ended up having to ask the cashier which looked best after bringing them both up because she couldn't be bothered. Sorry this is so long, but this place has seriously gone downhill since moving locations. The Spanish Springs location has a better variety (besides colourpop, because people shop less there due to distance) and the staff is always helpful and always where customers would need them to be. Read moreI honestly love this Ulta location and had the best experience. Ive actually avoided ultas in the past because I had subpar experiences at other ulta locations locally in which I couldnt find staff to help me find a product or staff acted like I was an incinvenience to them asking them for help as a nonknowledgable/nonexperienced makeup person for foundation+ makeup palete recs. Not this Ulta! I definitely will be returning to this one. Everyone inside was beyond helpful and super sweet. I've had Ultas before where I had to look to find an employee to ask for help finding things etc too. Not this one. I was even greeted at the door by an employee.
The makeup artist Julieanna (I believe her name was) answered ALL my questions/was so helpful when shopping. She helped color match me to a foundation based off my preferences (matte, medium to full coverage) and helped me find a concealer as well in my shade. In the past stylists at Ulta haven't actually put it on my skin to check, but the fact that she took the time to try it and see which looked best was amazing. The sweet stylist in the back also helped find me some products for my hair. I had a great shopping experience and would recommend this location over any of the other ones in Reno.
Only minor thing (which is SUPERA minor in my eyes) is they didn't mention I had $3 in points redeemable that would expire end of March 3/31. Im not sure if its visible on their end so may just be something I need to keep track of personally myself. If it is visable on their end, it would be nice to mention/ be asked if I wanted to redeem my current points for $3 off. Still 5/5...
