T.J. Maxx — Local services in Tinley Park

Very overwhelming and so much clutter of “everything” once you walk in. The clothing seems so out of style and second hand. To be honest This TJ Maxx reminds me of a thrift store compared to other TJ maxx. I do believe either a GM/DM/OM should review their layout to help organize the excess items. I also hope this manager can give some of their employee a pep talk on just how to be more welcoming even give this advice to the SM 12/2- I would say the taller young guy with the locks was helpful but communication was not given properly for him to assist with a top shelf item. Hand off communication is extremely important. The young brunette cashier which smiled when we checked out, is a great asset to this particular store. The store SM demeanor was very off-putting behind the counter as she stares at another customer being helped at a different register. This TJ Maxx is just not for me or my family, so there would be no reason to come and revisit this TJ Maxx ever again. All the Christmas decorations but no spirit. I was there looking for to match a particular suitcase. They had the small size, I was looking for the medium size. I asked the young lady at the door if she can call another location to see it they had the size I was looking for, she said sure give me a second. She goes to the register to ask the manger and the manger said no we don't do that cause each store was different. The young lady came back to tell me what her manger said to her, the young lady was so apologetic when she said she couldn't call. The manger on duty needs to take lesson from this young lady about customer service. The manger was rude and dismissive. I was at the T.J. Max in Evergreen Park earlier that day they were so nice and called another location with no problem and also told when they will be getting shipment. I received great customer service from Stephanie. She was upbeat, positive, helpful and informative. She was able to answer some questions I had. I love the variety of merchandise at this location. The line was long so if you are looking for a quick shopping trip you will have to take this inconsideration. Some of the aisles in the baby/kids section had several pieces of clothing on the floor. I did let staff know about the issue. I understand that they are very busy however there should be someone on the floor to periodically check those things to make sure things are organized and aisles are clear. When I first walked in I heard a few alarms however, the noise disappeared and I was able to have a peaceful shopping experience. Some of the prices are a little bit high for low quality items.
