A long time resident reviewing here. Been living here since the year 2000 when the indoor mall existed back in the day.
If I remember correctly, Richardson Square is currently undergoing some sort of economic development plan that is meant to bring potential ventures and redevelop this part of Richardson into some sort of booming shopping center. The original Richardson Square or Richardson Square Mall was torn down back in the early 2000s as a means to develop and repurpose the area into some sort of shopping center that you see in different parts of the metroplex.
These shopping centers usually have all your essentials and non--essentials needs in one general side-by-side lane, and if not, they'd be in a close-proximity group clump of each other. The line-up usually consists of a grocery store, a home improvement store, office supply store, pet-related stores, and etc. Around that line-up is either your garden variety fast food and gourmet restaurants, privately owned businesses, and the basic hobbyist-related needs.
Here at Richardson Square, it is composed of two different lots divided up into the west and the east. The western side has the office supplies, privately owned business, dine-in restaurants, and the hobby-related stores. I may be discounting a few like the clothing store. I've been to a few of the places there and the selection they've got is plenty for most of my needs.
The eastern side is composed of a super-grocery store, a home-improvement store, a specialized brand shoe store, discount clothing store, pet-related stores, and a variety of fast-food related restaurants that belong to generally big name groups. This side has most of your needs with most of them being in close proximity of each other. I usually shop and eat at the stores on this side with a good experience.
The economic development process has been given to both sides with the eastern side getting a few new places to eat at and services to use. The variety is okay and it kind of needs some sort of mixed variety in regards of the food-related businesses like a restaurant like the western side - although I'm kind of being subjective on this bit. Understandably, most of the newer places opening up here are big name or privately owned businesses.
I'd recommend Jersey Mike's Subs if you really need a quick and filling bite if we're talking about food though. I got sold on the quality of their food on the first visit with an everlasting impression. Jersey Mike's Subs will get their own individual in-depth review of my experiences...

Read moreWent to Lowes, as always the duopoly of Lows and Home depot hasn't changed. Regardless of that they both are still great places to shop for home improvement. I have said this before that both stores are 80% the same but differ slightly where Lows has a few better products that match the prices and Home depot has the slightly lesser product but with matching lower prices. Its a dead heat or wash as far as value is concerned so whenever i need something I go according to this formula of needs. This time Lows was the first place on my way and i wasn't pricing so I went...
