What started out as a girls day out going for pedicures and only me having a manicure - acrylic fill… it quickly turned into a very painful experience for me. The owner, Emy, after carefully looking over my nails, suggested that instead of an acrylic fill, I should get a fresh new acrylic set. I thought about it and said yes.
Before she even did anything, she said that the skin behind my nails was attached to the nail. In other words, she knew she had to be careful, otherwise, she could hurt me. She clearly knew this before she did anything… So why is it that she started with my right pointer finger and ripped my nail off causing me to scream from the pain… and my finger to bleed and swell up!!! I quickly said to her, what are you doing? You hurt me!!! Slow down!!! She then put some blue liquid on my nail to stop the bleeding. My finger was now throbbing and I was in pain.
She quickly realized that she should’ve soaked my nails, instead of trying to pull them off with clippers and/or nail extension. I don’t know what her normal staffing is, but I’m going to assume she was short staffed and she was very busy… and she was trying to accommodate as many people as possible… Customer Service was clearly not a priority! It was all about making the money… Hurting me in the process.
I sat to get a pedicure with Jessica, while my other nails soaked.
At this point, I made a decision to have NIKKI do my nails. Best decision made!!! She took her time and was very careful not to hurt me any further.
Not once, did Emy - the owner, check up on me and/or to see how my finger was doing.
When it was time to pay, I asked her if she was going to discount my manicure? She said no and got upset. She said she was just doing her job. I quickly replied that she was rushing and in doing so, hurt me! She should’ve been more careful but she was only interested in money and not customer service. She had zero empathy towards what she did to me… it was all about the money!
I will never return back, nor will my family. And I will make sure my voice is heard. The pictures attached do no Justice on what my finger looks like and the throbbing I’m...
Read moreWent in to get my acrylics filled because my normal place was closed for a family event. I was the only one there for the majority of the time, and any time a staff member was free they would sleep in the massage chairs. The woman who did my nails filed more skin than nail, and managed to slice the cuticles on every finger with the grinder, four of which even required the clotting ointment. Instead of an apology, I got a lecture on how "dry" my cuticles were; maybe if you hadn't used three drenched cotton swabs to remove the previous polish and actually putting some effort into the removal I wouldn't have fingertips like the Sahara right now. 10 hours later, my cuticles still hurt to the touch and I am constantly picking off flakes of acrylic from my skin. I could also have done a better polish job myself drunk and blindfolded, and my nails aren't even straight, they are filed at an angle like some Startrek creature. I was even made to pay INCLUDING TIP in the middle of the affair, which I begrudgingly did because I could tell that if I didn't tip she would only eff me up worse than before. If I had my way I wouldn't have paid at all, and it is only through sheer frustration and not even wanting to look at the place again that I don't demand a refund. Save your time, pain...
